I enjoyed seeing Luis Grijalva finish fourth in this race, though a higher placing would have been even nicer. He used to attend Armijo High School in Fairfield, CA. I lived about five blocks from the school, and I would sometimes see Luis running near the campus or on the overpass over the railroad tracks. He was an outstanding high school runner, of course, and even better at NAU. Still, seeing him compete in the Olympics and the World Championships is a wonderment. Best of luck, sir!

Grijalva´s race was the most intelligent one ; he´s saved a lot of energy as he kept close to the inner line all the time , appart from this, his stride was relaxed ; his poise , elgegant and his attittude ,serene, he did not dispair on the final sprint and arrived on the third position,great! greetings Bro ,from Colombia.

He raced near the back, with only three runners behind him. He then moved up to mid pack, racing on the outside of rivals, then went wide to get a cup of water. That cost him some grounds, but he rejoined the group to be in contention with a few laps to go. He pulled away to win convincingly and that tells you he was much the best.

La Norvège toute entière a fait les efforts en sport d’endurance avec sa génération regarde aussi du côté du triathlon ils ont les meilleurs du monde, j’espère juste que c’est légal ….d’autant plus qu’il fait au moins 100 m de plus en courant beaucoup sur l’extérieur !

Le + risquer cest pour un demi fondeur sur 5000m obliger de courir doucement pour tout mettre au 400 300 derniers mettre peut etre meme plutot au 200 dernier vitesse pure .....ca peut etre un peu embetant linvwrse coureur de 5000 sur 1500 ca aera pour lui un rytme enorme

Les Kenyans n'ont vraiment pas été malins. Au lieu de durcir la course et de fatiguer Jakob qui est plutôt un spécialiste du 1500 m avec une base de course plus rapide que le 5000 m, ils ont ralenti la course et lui ont offert la victoire sur un plateau. Je ne dis pas que Jakob aurait perdu, mais ça aurait été beaucoup plus dur pour lui si la course s'était couru en moins de 12 min 50s. Au lieu de se parler pendant la course, les Kenyans auraient mieux fait de se parler avant la course. Bravo à Jakob quand même.
