superb hand-finger positioning, great technique, just as Clarence Dickinson advised in "Technique and Art of Organ Playing." ~ a classic manual for organists!

Hi Rob,what a sparkling delight!The chamade reeds work perfectly here,In another rendition I have heard the verses bounce back and forth between full organ and principals...quite nice but nothing like this one.btw,your playing is fluid and self-assured for good reason,you are gifted.....btw,thanks for reintroducing me to my old friend Susato.....i had never heard him on anything other than recorders before today,the danses never sounded so good(great registration!)...he would be right proud:))Thanks for all your wonderful videos!

Very nice presentation! Have missed your offerings in recent times. Your keydesk has a very warn feel to it and the poster.... The video was expertly done as expected and the dog..... WHAT A CUTIE!!! Thank you for the media postcard from Salt Lake.

I would so love to get Hauptwerk for my computer. If only I had the money to afford it. Not only would this be the organ I'd get, but some of the smaller, simpler organs. Love your puppy at the end.

Rob, I've been in the dark in regards to this composer! Thank you for introducing me to his work. Wonderful playing as usual. Though not an organist I must agree the registration on the sample set was fantastic! My 3 manual Hauptwerk Console is due in from MN. for a large ELCA 165 church conference first of May I chose a similar keyboard combination. I hope you might be be able to grace the keyboards one day?! Camera work was great unfortunately I had hoped screen credit would be given to the Cavalier King Charles!!! A definite plus to the end of an excellent video! Thank you for sharing your talent and playing with us as an example to emulate.

I've played this piece a hundred times with the Queen City Brass, but I like your version better! Nice job on the ornaments and I love the sound of the organ.

I love it! You must have very tolerant neighbours if this is a house organ! Your little Cavalier is a mirror image of the dog I had some years back - a nice touch to end the video.

Well played! I'm thinking about building a Hauptwerk instrument of my own. Are those the CMK wood-core manuals, Hoffrichters, or something else entirely?
@paulc99867 ай бұрын
FYI, "Mohrentanz" literally means "Moorish Dance" and not "peasant dance". The title indicates that the piece is a fanciful (though inaccurate) representation of a Moorish (Arab) dance of North Africa or Spain.

Rob, great playing ... maybe you should try out for MT in Utah. What I would like to know is a list of your equipment, i.e., what keyboards, midi, etc. I know the Hauptwerk systems, but I am not computer-oriented in setting these things up ... organs, yes, PC organs ... no ... tx P-WB
