Unfortunately, he just doesn't seem to care much about most things, especially anything that requires patience or has a deep and emotional story; see Silent Hill 2 Remake. Making jokes during serious scenes is also annoying...

Charlie is great, but this playthrough was terrible. He skipped half the game running around not paying any attention to anything. Part of what makes the game great is the interactions and dialogue between the crew mates in the beginning and the phone calls throughout.

Yeah. I like Charlie, but mainly for his commentary and funny vids. I hadn't watched him play a story game in a long time and decided to check him playing this out since it seemed he reviewed it positively. Not even 7 minutes in and I quickly remembered why I don't watch him play games like this.

I thought this game was awesome. The dialogue is pretty charming and the environment was great. While the story was essentially Dead Space, the setting of an oil rig is pretty terrifying and unique.

Yeah cause we want to sit and listen to two hours of dialogue. Fuckn Chinese Room loves to inflate their games with lots of useless fluff and pretentiousness. This definitely is one of their better games, and I hate The Chinese Room, so I hope that says something.

Charlie arguing about "Two baws in a bawbag" not being "balls" is hilarious. I'm Scottish. "Baws" *ARE* "balls" and it's just how we say it. We call a "football" a "fitbaw" for example. If Charlie needs a medical definition it was "Two testicles in a scrotum."

I was thinking so much about this!! I’m half Scottish (born in America, first generation to a Scottish family. My mom is the only one who left Scotland and then had me 😭). I have a cousin with the thickest accent. It took me YEARS to get used to it, and his favorite word to call people is bawbag, so I was dying laughing at that part 😂 It’s so funny to see the subtitles trying to translate, because some words just don’t always translate super well. Bawbag could absolutely have been written as ballbag, but idk, even that doesn’t sound too correct, since no one calls it a ballbag 💀 Also loved how hung up on “wean” Charlie was. I’m sure he didn’t put two and two together that it’s just “wee one” but strung together quicker 🤭 Scottish “English” should just be considered its own language at this point. No one I know can ever understand my mom when she speaks and I genuinely have to translate for her all the time 🤦🏻

I really hope this game is spooky and good, But doesn't have bloody magic powers bullshit. 16 Minutes in I'm dead impressed with the authenticity of the Scottish.

If you wanna see the full game (someone play it or play it yourself) don’t watch this playthrough, Charlie ends up skipping like 1-2 hours worth of the game on accident I assume you already did watch it though

caz's voice actor is scottish! i assume most of the others are actually authentic speakers as well. the dev team really tried to make things as authentic as possible

I’ve watched other playthroughs of this game (Charlie Slimecicle is my fave. I highly recommend), and it doesn’t matter how many times I watch, Brodie talking about wishing he was on Skye is the bit that always makes me cry. I’ve been to Skye many times, and it’s genuinely the most beautiful place I’ve ever been to. I’d happily move there someday, because I want to move to Scotland anyway. All my family is there, and I’m first gen American, with dual citizenship there because my mom is Scottish. If you ever go to Scotland, visit the Isle of Skye. You’ll understand why Brodie was thinking about it before he died. 🥺❤️

Sometimes, you just gotta give it up to Charlie. While his play style can frustrate me at times... Other times, it allows him to achieve some truly impressive feet's in gaming. Completing this game in a hair over 3 hours is insane!

That's most likely a nod at HP Lovecraft in this case, many of his writings let the reader determine the origin of the entities involved. Considering the references in the art style and voice lines, someone in the Dev team must have some mad respect for Lovecraft's vision of horror.

Turning the lights off to increase immersion is something I did when I was 13. Now I'm 34 and it just gives me a headache and strains my eyes. So I don't do it. Unfortunately for Charlie, the majority of his fans are about 13 years old. So he's kinda stuck suffering for their entertainment. Sure Charlie is still just a kid in his 20's. But he's not going to want to keep turning off the lights for games. It's only going to do damage to his eyes.

This game looks fun for me actually, I kinda use some channels for recommendations for games, Charles a 6 on my list on games he plays, of course all fromsoft games are winners, he just doesn’t enjoy a lot of games I like fuck it, but this one looks fun, I kinda fuck with lovecraftian shit. lol the breathing and the voice don’t match at all tho.

Caz is a true goat ❤ he basically did this job in the game to get more money to support his family and daughters and wife this was a breaking heart story for the hero himself trying to take care of his family just so he can lose his life to some monsters

Man half of the story is him running off to the rig to escape the police. He wasnt there to provide he was there in hopes to avoid the law, and his wife did not support that as running from allegations usually worsens the case in court.
