I remember a "UFO" experience i had back in like 2009 on New Years Eve. I was 9 years old watching and waiting for the ball to drop in times square on TV. I remember looking out the window and up in the sky what I thought was a UFO abduction. It looked like a flying object with a beam of light coming down from it. I remeber the way it must have moved through a cloud and made it look like something was being sucked up the light. Years later I'm pretty sure it was literally just a News Helicopter with a spotlight.

I don't expect anyone who likes to say 'lmao UFOs' has an argument against any of these videos - are you going to claim a rival military power exposes highly-secret, confidential models of technology to the cameras & on-sight radars of national, global rivals to eventually be studied and exposed....or are you willing to own up to the fact that even those jet pilots didn't know what the fuck they were seeing?

I have a sleep disorder which has caused sleep paralysis since toddler age. I can’t say that people are experiencing this as some of the abduction cases. But I can say that a lot of them sound exactly like sleep paralysis. If you don’t know what it is. You wake up but cannot move. It’s quite stressful if it lasts for a long while but mostly it’s relatively quick. 10-30 seconds probably is my average bout. During the sleep paralysis I am 100% lucid and fighting my way to snap out of it and be fully awake and also trying not to panic. (Sometimes I get anxiety that I will be stuck like that forever and never gain mobility.). The weirdest part of the experience is while being totally aware I’m having sleep paralysis and I can think normally it also causes you to hallucinate and almost dream. The room looks like a dream version of the room. I can hear footsteps or people talking to me especially hearing my mum saying my name. Crackling sounds and laughing. It’s actually pretty crazy. The other thing that sometimes happens and luckily isn’t too often for me is the most intense feeling of supernatural horror. It’s a feeling that I would never be able to experience in my waking world. It’s often the feeling of a demonic entity in the room. Sometimes for me it’s a big black hole of sticks in the wall that crackles likes camp fire and the sound of sticks all scraping together and moving around. It’s an otherworldly experience that feels absolutely horrific. But once I wake up I’m fine and know it’s just the brain being creative. 100% an individual could have the demonic experience be aliens. Maybe because I grew up as a Christian or just like metal music and horror movies that my brain invents these demon scenarios. I’m sure if someone has seen even a movie or something in pop culture about aliens that their mind could create that scenario for them. Lastly a lot of folks don’t have constant weekly bouts of sleep paralysis like I do. But it can happen to anyone and if you’ve never had a history of experiencing it you could very easily think the experience was something else like a visitation of a ghost or the devil. Or an alien abduction. Because it really does feel like a real experience

I take sleep meds which give me nightmares that I can't wake up from. I always dream of waking up but it's just another dream and sometimes it feels real and I get a fear that I will never be able to wake up. Also had sleep paralysis happen to me once, I was unable to move and heard footsteps and got dragged out of my bed at night but when I woke up it wasn't even night and I was still in my bed.
@terrydactyl2077
@terrydactyl2077 Жыл бұрын
@@blitzar8443 On bud. Sorry you gotta deal with that. I think I can totally understand both those things but not quite the same. The dragging out of bed would be very unnerving. I get a lot of sensory things similar. Sometimes while struggling to wake it feels like I can move an arm a bit and then I feel like I’m sliding off my bed. But the sliding never stops until I wake. Sorta like I’m sliding for 2 minutes. I often get the feeling of a cat walking in me (never had one as a pet tho). A few times at my old place I used to get the feeling of like a little kid climbing on me and giving me a cuddle. Very odd that you can literally feel these things. Like there is physical weight to them. The nightmare thing I can also relate. Do you ever lucid dream in general? I do but not too often. And usually once I realise I am dreaming I wake up pretty quickly. But. I have had lucid dreams that are like you said. Sometimes I realise I’m dreaming. Then I think I’m awake. But I’m not and I’m still dreaming but the dream is too real. Like you know how dreams are chaotic and constantly morphing? These ones literally looks like my house. Worst one ever my mum called me into the kitchen. I go there and she is this just horrible demonic thing. I’ve also had lucid dreams I realised I was dreaming and became lucid but couldn’t wake myself up. The most recent one was super distressing and actually bothered me quite a bit for a while. I couldn’t wake up and then I was in a room. I wanted out of the dream and tried getting out of the room. I opened a curtain and their was no window behind it. Just a wall. Then I tore off wallpaper and it kept having more wall paper behind each layer that I keep tearing at. I ran around the room feeling the walls for a way out and couldn’t. Then a door appeared and I got outside and it was night time looking out onto a field with a hill. The hill was lined with freaking Ku Klux Klan robed dudes with torches lit on fire and the all ran at me and then I finally woke up. Had many similar dreams. All I can say is it’s just the brain doing its thing and you will always wake up. You’ll never get stuck. Ever. You should try to practice some breathing techniques off KZbin for anxiety and panic attacks. Try to practice them enough so that when you are in a lucid dream or experiencing sleep paralysis you can remember to put them into action and ride it out. Tends to make those moments pass quicker as well coz you are reminding your brain of the physical world and your body in it. It’s very hard to remember this so the more you practice like before bed the more you’ll remember it. Lucid dreaming is often confusing and harder to remember stuff like this. But it’ll still help over all. Try and talk with your doctor about it but no doubt you’ll need a specialist. But it’s not something that is dangerous. Just very stressful. Hope you get some relief from it tho mate.

A while ago I woke up in the middle of the night and then tried to go back to sleep and eventually after I could feel my body asleep I suddenly started to see outlines of faces morphing into other faces all with different normal or weird facial expressions. While this was happening I could hear a combination of whispers and some other sounds mounting in intensity. Eventually the sounds changed from weird to very unnatural, unsettling, and scary. It was kind of similar to the amnesia chase sound effect, but like 10 times as viscerally frightening. Then I woke up for real and had trouble going back to sleep. I honestly don't remember if I felt paralyzed or not. I was 100% aware of what I was experiencing. I'm pretty sure if I wanted to I could force myself to wake up, but I was kind of morbidly curious, so I let it last until I nope'd out. Not sure if this was actual sleep paralysis or just a hypnogogic hallucination from hell but I never want to experience it again.
@terrydactyl2077
@terrydactyl2077 Жыл бұрын
@@Snugasa Brains are so damn weird right?? Ok so there’s two things probably possible with this experience in my opinion. You’ve stated both of them but you’re probably right. So it could’ve easily have been sleep paralysis. If you haven’t had bouts of it you probably think you could’ve woken up from it but actually not been able to. You can “stay” in paralysis and extend it. I rarely do it as I find it stressful. But when I was younger I found it less anxiety enduring and was very curious about it as it provided interesting hallucinations. Extremely rarely I will have a face appear. I remember one time a Rottweiler was snarling right at my face. My mum I suspect is experiencing SP because she often says she has the face thing quite often. And then my Nanna when she was alive one time told me she saw animals or men as shadows beside her bed that she said she would “shoo” away. She as well had something going on and I’ve always assumed SP might be hereditary? The other thing you might have experienced is hypnogogic hallucination. When I was 6 I was diagnosed with hypnogogia. Although my mum never sought much medical help with it afterwards. When you were young and were going to sleep or after waking, or when you were sick with a flu, ever have things like feeling like you are floating in a large open yet closed space? Like something or the stuff around you were both huge and tiny at the same time? Or someone was whispering but the whisper seemed booming loud at the same time? These are other hypnogogic sensations other than the face thing. Faces morphing constantly I think might be the brain looking for patterns when there’s no light in your room while being close to that transition of awake and asleep. Do you ever try while going to sleep to get in the zone where you can visualise faces and objects constantly morphing? That’s pretty common and pretty cool (possible also unnerving) with hypnogogia. You mostly grow out of that but people can still retain it. I have it commonly but less common than when I was a child. One unnerving aspect of one of my symptoms is I feel my head becoming very dense like it is made of marble. My hands then feel like they fill up the room and my thoughts start racing. The racing thoughts is the most unnerving part because if I don’t sit up and turn on a light and shake it off it will build up and up and become more intense and won’t stop. Then I need to get out of bed and literally walk it off. It sucks. I get hypnogogia shit happening while awake. Triggers can be seeing a huge object like a giant ship. Things like the hulk transforming weirdly triggers it. It might be partly due to my type of narcolepsy. But this I do not know. There are interesting things that I’ve read that seem to me to correlate with certain symptoms of hypnogogia while being different enough. Todd’s Syndrome (Or Alice in Wonderland Syndrome) is interesting to read about and might fit somewhere in the same realm. Worth a read if you are interested. Also with the being able to see things like faces morphing while awake is common with people especially the elderly when they’ve partially or completely lost their sight. There’s quite a bit of interesting research done on this. Apparently it’s due to the loss of constant visual stimulation. The brain’s pattern seeking starts to kick in and produce faces. It usually produces very odd warped faces with big eyes and huge teeth etc and can cause a lot of distress. Same thing happens with people who go deaf and then the brain produces audio hallucinations. Not sure if you’ve made it this far in my unhinged rant (I never get to talk about this stuff coz it’s so weird and difficult to describe so I don’t bother) but one thing I think is important to consider. I used to think of eyes as like a window for the brain to look out into the world. Looking at something was just just your brain using your eyes to capture the image. And yeah that’s true. But the craziest thing is that what really happens is the yes eyes give the brain the information and then within the brain it recreates the image. So your visual sight is a hallucination. Like a copy of the stuff you’re looking at. I’m terrible at explaining it coz I’m a dumb shit. But there’s good info to read about this subject out there. Brains are fucking mental.
@Snugasa
@Snugasa Жыл бұрын
@@terrydactyl2077 I appreciate the unhinged rant are brains are indeed, "fucking mental". My favorite fact about the eyes and the brain is about people who are blind due to brain injury, but still have a functional eye. They are able to, more often than you'd expect from a blind person, guess correctly about the location, movement and shapes of objects. It's called blindsight if you are interested. I could have been unable to wake up, I just can't really say either way. I do often experience hypnogogia though, either when I am trying to fall asleep lucidly or falling asleep while I'm reading in bed. Usually it's just voices or sounds when I'm reading. The lucid sleeping never works haha I just get too excited once I get hallucinations and wake up and just lie there with my body asleep but my mind wide awake and tired so I just fall asleep normally. and I suspect the reason I can't lucid dream is cause I've never put in the effort for a dream journal or reality checks and other tricks people recommend. I do relate to the dense head thing, I've had it happen sometimes, but for the most part my hallucinations seem to be more mild. I do actually experience Alice in Wonderland Syndrome, although a fairly mild case. I usually happens when my eyes get tired from reading or looking at small details. My visual perception changes and things I'm directly focusing on get smaller, while my peripheral vision feels larger. the words on my computer screen might be tiny, but my monitor expands and feels like it takes up all my vision. It feels kind of like turning up my FOV slider in real life. Everything feels farther away from me than it should be and my hands feel small. I also experience an increased focus on sounds and often have mild tinnitus during the episode. Overall it just feels like an awesome experience (assuming I'm not working) where I can look at the world around me with the same curiosity as a child would for about 10 minutes. Unfortunately, it does seem like something that is going away with age. As a kid I would experience it a few times a month, that eventually went down to once a month, and now I think its been a few months since I had it last. Granted, I also read real books way less often now, and that's how I would get it usually. I hope it never goes away forever cause it's always just really fun for me.

Honestly the problem with UFO sightings is that Plane's have weird lights and it's incredibly easy to be deceived. One morning in my small village a plane illegally flew over my house from a very low distance. I didn't see the plane shape though, I just saw the lights all over the plane which made it appear to me as a gigantic flying pyramid. It was light out, not night. Still though the lights on the plane somehow deceived my eyes into seeing a literal plane as something else. I froze in place as if it was gonna crush me to death because such a giant thing was directly above my house. I couldn't register what happened and was convinced I'd seen a UFO, but nah. I live very close to an air strip and planes regularly fly over my neighbourhood now. Just usually higher up. It's incredibly easy for our brains to not register aircrafts as what they actually look like.

@Carl Gunderson No your comment was we making a infinite energy source change our understanding of our universe which it whouldn't since a Dyson sphere is possible and isn't too complicated to understand and run, its just that the earth doesn't have enough materials to build a sphere around the sun so yes we have the understanding to build this structure just not the materials and money, but a warp drive is whole different story since that's literally bending the fabric of space time and making distances from other celestial bodies shorter

A Dyson sphere isn't a complicated thing to build it just requires alot of material and money which we currently don't have. I mean, visiting definitely makes sense from a research standpoint. If they are anything like us, and for the sake, they'd like to know more about how life forms and is created, so they might want to research and study how life developed in our world. That does assume that 1- they are anything like us, they could just not care at all about other lifeforms, and 2- whatever form of FTL travel they figured out, they didn't also figure out at the same time the secret to life and what not, because if they did, we'd be even more insignificant

It would be cool if aliens didn't have faster-than-light travel, but they (or at least their consciousnesses) just lived for millions of years and moved/ thought in slow motion, and so didn't care about the insane amount of time they would have to travel. Then their space vehicle randomly crashed into Earth, but it took them a full human lifespan for them to get their first sentence out, Ent-style. That's gotta be a sci-fi story, right?

Then a car drove by about 10 seconds later and I realized it was the car's headlights shining into the woods as it was driving around a curve. Another time, I saw a super bright light kinda hovering in the sky at night. It made no sound. After a while I did start seeing movement and it flew over me, still being fairly quiet. Turned out it was a plane landing with its landing light on. It looked like it was hovering because it was heading straight toward me. I guess it didn't make much sound because the engines are turned down during landing(again, just a guess).

I think it's funny how so many people actually misinterperate the definition of the word theory. When someone uses the expression "its just a theory" you should probably repsond with "you clearly dont know what theory means". The only difference between a theory and a law (scientific not judicial) is that a law is backed by all our knowledge of physics PLUS the ability to put that into test through real experiments and calculations; meanwhile a theory only has the computational and logical trailing to show it exists*. For example the big bang theory is logical based on our understanding of physics we just cant put it to test. most people confuse theory with hypothesis which is the very beginning of the experiment where once it passes all the computational and logical processes it becomes a theory. many theories hold just as much weight as laws, its just a matter of time when we can put them to test to finally debunk them, this will only occur as we unlock more information about the universe and until then most theories hold water and have signifigance in the science community.

@@jonathanridener9673 Bro, you do realize that spontaneous human combustion isn't real, right? Most SHC cases were from pre-20th century era, and weren't that credible since the news media at the time would often exclude information about those cases. Also, most post-19th century cases have just been labelled as SHC cases because they don't have an evident cause yet. It's just scientifically impossible to start a fire out of nothing. To even just start a tiny fire, there needs to be a fuel, an oxidizer, and an energy source.
@Drakonus_
@Drakonus_ Жыл бұрын
@@jonathanridener9673 Also, let's go back to humans not remembering their birth. A human brain might've remembered being birthed when they were a baby, but their brain's development would cause that memory to disappear. This is what's called infantile amnesia. Moreover, the earliest cases of people remembering their life would be after they've opened their eyes. That is because our sight is the most important sense when it comes to remembering things.
