Multiplication is something that can't really be done physically, or else that'd be counting. sure, 1*1=2 in your mental math, simply because you're giving pure numbers and it multiplies. however, if you think a bit more abstract and logical, it'd be 1*1=1 by using grid lines example. He has an IQ over 140 and he doesn't dispute the way people do things now as being completely incorrect. He said that science is missing the full picture in which his theory is that he looks at each periodic element on the elemental table and each one has a unique sound that transitions into one another. With his theory he was capable of recreating saturn with no gravity using the same applied physics applications used by physicists today. He also was able to explain how specific chemicals interact with each other and breakdown via sound and proved that sound can change/disrupt your dna via vibrations or frequencies of specific key notes which are found in nature and in every element on the periodic table but hey man, uh, sick click bait title, keep eating up Joe's crumbs.

@@drobb723_BillsMafia Hey, idiot. If I say "a multiplied by b" it means I keep adding "a" with itself until "b" times. 1 x n means 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 + ... + 1 until the number of 1's equals n. So if n = 1, the result equals 1. If n = 2, the result is 1 + 1 (notice how there are 2 1's). If n = 3, 1 x 3 = 1 + 1 + 1 = 3 (notice how there are 3 1's).

it's an axiom, you assume it's true in order for the rest of the math we know to work. the math you learn up to and including high school is all based on the rational number field. a field is an algebraic structure that is a set with two operators (addition and multiplication) and several properties (associativity, commutativity, distributivity) and two specific unique members- identity and zero. there are plenty of "maths" where 1+1 doesn't equal 2, like boolean algebra or modulus algebra, but the guy in the video clearly doesn't talk about those and is kind of full of shit
@kevinjean58066 ай бұрын

@@fawlen but those other kinds of maths are really other math. Its just a different way of expressing the same reality that the math we use is doing. Its not like if we were to use a math based on a system without 0 then physics would cease to exist and 1 group of 1 would suddenly become 2. For example the Romans did not have a 0. But that didn't mean that basic realities of math changed, just that they had no way of expressing 1x1. They simply had to list out all of the groups and then count them.

@crazyworld543216 ай бұрын
@@thee-influence I'm not a math guy by any means, but I am intelligent enough to understand the fundamental difference between adding and multiplying. Multiplying is just a different method/equation to make addition faster. If I have zero apples and multiply by 1, how do I obtain an apple here? I have zero apples. You follow? We aren't just spawning numbers into existence. The math has to follow the equation in order to be solved properly. Obviously if I have zero apples and then I add one apple, I now have an apple. Gain a few more, and I can start multiplying them. *"Multiplication is a mathematical operation that takes two numbers and gives an answer equal to the sum of a column containing one of the numbers repeated the number of times of the other number."* The key here is where it says, "equal to the sum" of one of the columns. If one column has a sum of one, anything multiplied by it will be the same number. If your initial sum is only one, then there is nothing to "repeat". You've just got the one apple. Make sense? Like I said, I'm seriously not a math guy, but this makes absolutely perfect sense to me. Dude is simply wrong on this.

The level of narcissism one must have to believe that every single mathematician ever is and has been fundamentally wrong about maths most basic concept rather than that he/himself is the one who's having a chronic brainfart is absolutely mindblowing.

he had a oxford speech where he explains it a lot better. i’m not going to try to explain it but he even says when it comes to the physical world that we know yes 1 laptop 1 time is 1 laptop but the actual math to be used in the progression of science. you have to admit the vr patent and the lynchpin that moves exactly like how a ufo would and only gets stronger when added to which in the future could be run by an unlimited power source. it’s pretty impressive, even though i don’t agree with some of the stuff, this type of thinking is what historically has led to the biggest advancements in history so it has value to the world either way
@dylancrowder42296 ай бұрын
But you still have 10 sodas. But if you gave somebody 10 sodas one time you would have zero sodas and they would have 10 sodas. So I agree that 1x1=1 but 1x0=1 based on if you have one of something and you give it away zero times you will still have one of that thing.

the 1x1=2 is like a “if my mom had balls she would be my dad” bcz multiplication is just something we named to describe a phenomenon so if 1x1=2 then the “x” is just addition getting rebranded
