Well when dealing with anyone you have to question the things they do. I heard of this guy that would carry cigarettes in his shirt pocket even though he’s never smoked them to test the doctor. They all kept telling him “it’s from smoking” in response to any medical condition he had. Oh yeah and then there’s Covid and how much they manipulated the numbers on that
@Boneless_Wolf3 күн бұрын
@@slikrik3958it's not a matter of manipulating numbers. Reaching an accurate diagnosis isn't as simple as asking the patient for a laundry list of symptoms and plugging them into WebMD, you're making an educated guess based on the data you have on those symptoms, how they're affecting the patient physically and/or mentally, etc It's basically a mix between knowing what can cause the symptoms and the statistics behind them. If someone shows up with a pack of cigarettes and gets a lung cancer diagnosis, your educated guess is probably gonna link those two together at first. That's why it's good to get second opinions, being a medical professional doesn't mean you have all the answers, you could miss something and end up with a wrong diagnosis. However, that doesn't invalidate the fact that despite those possible mistakes, medical professionals are still the best way you have of finding out if you have a condition or what it is
@DustinDonald-cz9ot11 сағат бұрын
@@Boneless_Wolf Even cigarettes or the tobacco in itself may not be the thing causing the cancer, there are around 5000 additives in most cigarettes so is it the tobacco doing damage or one of the other 5000 chemical additives or a combination of additives? Highly doubt this has ever been tested. Or how they claim that marijuana causes brain damage but then you look at the experiment they did on monkeys they pretty much suffocated the monkeys with smoke depriving them of oxygen, so was it the marijuana doing it or extended asphyxiation doing it? Doctors and nurses can be stupid as well I've met some that aren't too bright especially in this age of DEI hires that appear to be more concerned with race or sex than actual merit. My wife is an RN and she is constantly complaining about incompetence and lack of concern by some of her fellow practitioners. Just like lawyers there are some really good ones out there and there are some really crap ones and this can be said about just every profession on the planet.
@Boneless_Wolf10 сағат бұрын
@@DustinDonald-cz9ot we're talking about cigarettes here though, not just strictly tobacco. Most of the damage industrial cigarettes do is, indeed, a result of the dozens of additives they contain, including, as far as I'm aware, over 70 carcinogenic substances, but if you see someone with a pack of industrial cigarettes, that's the kind of cigarette you're dealing with, it's not purely tobacco. The warnings on the label read "smoking kills", not "tobacco kills", because frankly, tobacco is probably the least damaging substance you'll find on industrial tobacco packs

It's important to remember we can entertain an idea without ridiculing someone for having said idea. Bad information needs to be fought with good information. The veracity of claims can be thoroughly examined in an unbiased way and bullshit will inevitably get thrown away
@retsaMinnavoiG2 күн бұрын
I agree in general but there has to be some kind of limit. Sometimes people are completely detached from reality and logic to the point that they're completely and utterly wrong. I'm happy to listen to my conspiracy theorist friends or get high and talk about strange concepts BUT this is ludicrous and wrong. I know, I know... either all ideas are worthy of being entertained or you're not being open and challenging yourself. BUT let me ask you this, are there *any* opinions, ideas or beliefs you simply would not entertain no matter what proof the person wanted to try to provide. I would be stunned if you said you were willing to genuinely entertain any idea no matter how ridiculous or terrible. Sometimes people need to be told they're an idiot and have issues.
@evilferet22 күн бұрын
@@retsaMinnavoiG the fact that you used the term conspiracy theorist tells me we're going to probably be on different wavelengths entirely. I'm certainly no flat earther, but anyone I know who regularly uses that term tends to be wilfully ignorant on easily provable topics. @jamesgunn121423 сағат бұрын
It’s unfair to assume bullshit inevitably gets thrown away. It doesn’t. Flat-Earthers are a great example. Imagine struggling to understand basic physics, and some kind soul says, “It’s not because you’re ignorant, it’s because it’s all fake anyways.” That’s how you get Terryology, and that’s how you trick people into thinking they’re smart-while feeding them bullshit.

@@evilferet2 I consider a conspiracy theorist to be somebody that thinks they're surrounded by conspiracies and it's a major part of their self-identity. Of course there are conspiracies in the world, always have been and that is an entirely different conversation to an all encompassing sinister cabal. Two questions: 1: What conspiracy theory would you consider easily provable? 2: Would you entertain an adult that believes romantic relationships with children is actually a good thing? Multiplication is something that can't really be done physically, or else that'd be counting. sure, 1*1=2 in your mental math, simply because you're giving pure numbers and it multiplies. however, if you think a bit more abstract and logical, it'd be 1*1=1 by using grid lines example. you just used the word "times" to explain to people who don't know what "times" means. if they know what "1 time" and "2 times" mean then there wouldn't be 1 * 1 = 2 in the first place so you should break it down to addition: 1 * 2 = two 1 = 1 + 1 = 2 2 * 2 = two 2 = 2 + 2 = 4 1 * 1 = one 1 = 1 well, this require first grade knowledge...

@@drobb723_BillsMafia Hey, idiot. If I say "a multiplied by b" it means I keep adding "a" with itself until "b" times. 1 x n means 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 + ... + 1 until the number of 1's equals n. So if n = 1, the result equals 1. If n = 2, the result is 1 + 1 (notice how there are 2 1's). If n = 3, 1 x 3 = 1 + 1 + 1 = 3 (notice how there are 3 1's).
