This is a good topic and a necessary one. I know the difference from nursing,health classes and other sources pertaining curly/kinky/coily hair. I know that when it comes to moisturizing my hair,I'm very good at that,and hydrating it from the outside. When it comes to hydration from within,and lot of us are not as consistent as we should with drinking it daily.🙋guilty! Drinking enough water on a daily basis is vital for our overall health,as well as our hair. Ex:If we are not drinking enough water,when getting blood drawn or needing an IV,the vein yields very little blood flow to none. Can you imagine how thirsty our hair roots are? . Thanks for the reminder. Good video.

Hi Shawnta! Thank you for posting this, it really helped me identify my the reason why my hair is looking so dull after I moisturize it. I was getting frustrated and couldn’t figure out the reason my hair looks the way it does. I now know why and I’m going to try a different approach. After watching your video, I wasn’t sure of the difference until I watched your video, so I thank you, awesome job girl!

Yasss try another moisture routine. I just rinse the product out of my hair on Wednesday that's how I put the moisture back into my hair because it's all dried out by Sunday which is my wash day.

I can recommend a few leave ins for lp hair, because I have lp hair too. My favorites are Camille Rose Naturals Curl refresh hair milk(the one thats green colored hair milk with the pump), and Curlaide Moisture Butter. Another good leave in is, Kinky curly knot today curling custard and Shea Moisture Meadowfoam seed & sugarcane extract leave in hair treatment. All of these items are sold at Target or drugstore like Riteaid or Walgreens. I hope this helps you, and goodluck on your hair journey.

The fact that this video just showed up in my recommendations a week after it was uploaded has me feeling some type of way towards KZbin. I'm not going to hold a grudge though because it was good!. Lol.🙂Even though I'm just now seeing the video. I watched it more than once. This was definitely not a stupid or even basic topic. I've been natural since 2013. I'm still learning things. And there are things I'm still trying to figure out. Like why my scalp feels itchy no matter what I do? It doesn't matter if I've just washed it. It doesn't matter if I've just done the LCO method. It doesn't matter if I've just massaged it for 10-15 minutes. Though those massages are oh so good! But maybe like finding the best way to detangle my hair this is just another thing that takes trial and error. Though I used to buy fresh ginger and put it in the blender. Then use a cheesecloth to get all the juice out and mix with either coconut oil or olive oil. Put it on my hair and scalp and leave it for an hour or two. Then go ahead with my wash routine. And that felt very good and helped with hair growth better than anything else. I may start back doing that. But I enjoyed the video. I didn't know the difference either. I do let my hair get soaked with water before washing it because you mentioned it in a video a while back. And I spray water on it as a refresher as well. Also, I know I don't personally know you. But I'm so proud of the business you've built and the new products that you had added to your hair care line. Keep up the good work chica!🙂

@Shawntas Way What do you suggest a wash hair routine be for taking down braids since you don't recommend adding products first before adding water?? Please do a tutorial. I take down my braids in 2 weeks.
@QuEeN-uy6lg4 жыл бұрын
Hey umm sorry for the super late reply but if you have braids again you can use this method. Put water and conditioner in a bottle and spray and detangle each braid you take out to reduce breakage. After your done taking out all the braids leave it in for 5 minutes. Then rinse it out and go on with your wash day routine 😊
