No, you don't. If they did this, in 10 years, you'd be playing an unrecognizable game. Imagine if you get a new dimension every 3 years and 2 new biomes every year. Suddenly, 10 years down the line, we're stuck with 6 dimensions, around 70 biomes, who on earth knows how many mobs, and waaaaaaaayyyyyy too many blocks and mechanics to keep up with. Someone who doesn't keep up with the game would feel like they downloaded 5 modpacks at once, and trying to discuss the game with more experienced people would just become a constant game of "what are you talking about". Yes, I know I'm exaggerating by putting things to an extreme. But the point still remains, if they want to keep minecraft vanilla for a long time, they can't shove gamechanging updates all the time, otherwise well... the game changes. too much. Also mods would stuggle to keep up with a game that constantly changes to such a level. We'd probably see a drastic decrease of mods, since adding new mechanics might end up revisting old ones which would end up breaking old systems mods might have been reliant on.

Worth noting that plenty of stuff that is added in april fools actually do eventually end up in the main game. The first april fools update added coal blocks, tinted glass and horses. One of them contained a QR code teasing the theme of Minecraft 1.9. Another one added custom dimensions, which was shortly actually added to the game.

The Sloof Lirpa bird only migrates to our area at the beginning of April. It is very hard to find. It likes to hide in tall trees. It stays in the trees almost all day until it is time to have food. The Sloof Lirpa eats seeds and small insects like most birds. But it also eats something strange that most birds don’t like. The Sloof Lirpa loves to eat carrots. The carrots give the Sloof Lirpa bird bright orange feathers on it’s head. If the bird hasn’t had enough carrots, the feathers will be whitish-gray. The Sloof Lirpa bird is brown, white and black. Its wings and tail feathers are black and white. Sloof Lirpa’s body is brown and white with a white head. The Sloof Lirpa’s beak and feet are yellow-orange. The best time to spot a Sloof Lirpa is during the first week of April. Here is the best way to see one: * Go outside and look up in the trees for the bright orange feathers. * If that doesn’t work, sing “Sloof Lirpa” very loudly 3 times in a row. * If that doesn’t work, try spinning around in a circle while you make the call so the call can be heard in all directions. * If you still don’t see one, try flapping your arms like a bird while you spin around and sing. * If we don’t see one at school, go home and try with mom and dad tonight. * If you still can’t find one, write the words SLOOF LIRPA in capital letters on the back of this page.
