What a fantastic place! I have a real love/hate relationship with those pop ups. Sometimes I get them first try, sometimes I consider cutting it up and throwing it away. 😂

@@campoutwestus I bought this bigger chinese made privacy shelter. You actually have to assemble it. Four poles. Absolutely no way in hell that thing was ever going to fit back into the factory supplied bag. So I got a big duffel bag off of Amazon. Also made in China. I just stuff that thing into the duffel.

@scottymac5174 great idea! Some of my least favorite camping gear requires stuffing something into a too small bag.

I've only been down to the Mohave once. Mostly Death Valley/Panamint Valley. East as far as Tonopah and up into the Humbolt Toyiabe National Wilderness. Six million acres.. Largest wilderness area in the USA outside of Alaska. One trip. This is on my bucket list to go back to.

Thanks. I enjoyed watching your video. About the pine nuts. Remember Ule Gibbons Grape Nuts commercial. It would start with him saying "You ever eat a pine tree? Many parts are edible" and he would pop a pine nut into his mouth.

I used to like Grape Nuts cereal.. Ule was the guy. I've always wondered if Bristlecone pine nuts are any good. The oldest living organisms on the planet. I've seen them loaded with fresh berries/nuts up in the White mountains..Never been brave enough to try them.

@@campoutwestus I know it was on their website, 25+ years ago..... The upkeep of the cabins was done by average people who love exploring the desert. you could spend the night in cabins, just stay a night so someone else could use it. Really cool deal.

@@jaketuckeyimages yes, there are still some of those maintained cabins in that area. We've come across some in Nevada and in Death Valley. Some are amazingly well kept!
