DAMN.... Can You tell? An unfortunate fake Mickey Mantle autograph.
Toronto Sport Card Expo Day 3 was a packed house. So many Mickey Mantle cards, nhl cards, hockey cards, michael jordan cards, collections, collectors, and more. This video packed in a lot of sports card deals, some funny moments. A lot of mickey mantle in-person autograph cards have been known to be forgeries, but now even topps was caught. If you study mantle's autograph you can see a lot of inconsistencies that are common within the signature.

Kaprizov is 26 years old and only has 114 goals. Please don't drink the snake oil they are trying to sell you. Minnesota isn't in the top 25 hockey markets. Its a university state. Mcdavid will be the only player besides Gretzky to surpass 2000 points. He is in a league of his own.

Hope you enjoyed your stay here in Canada! You should definitly come visit a card show here in Montreal one day. From personal experience in collecting hockey for the past 10 years or so, the safest/best investments are "generational players" (Crosby, Ovechkin, McDavid...) It's unfortunate but there are so many all-star level players who simply plateau and decrease in value later within their careers, despite having great careers. So many guys are chasing what's hot in hockey like Kaprizov, but reality is he's an all-star level player who'll slowly be forgotten as new players come in to the league... Or another strategy in hockey is to simply invest in a player who's underachieving in hopes of a breakout season... hope this helps ✌🏻

Can anyone tell me why the Topps 1966 Yankees team card goes for $2 while Mickey Mantle is on it?

Because it's a team card. It's way more common than any Mantle card, plus people want just Mantle on a card, so the demand is way less for those team cards. The 1966 Topps Mantle card alone isn't even worth a ton of money. A PSA 8 1966 Mantle goes for less than $2,000 dollars. I'm not sure about a PSA 10, but I can't see one being worth more than $4,000-$5,000. It's a decent amount of money but nowhere near the value of some of his other cards.

OMG, that is nuts that its a fake Mantle ! I sure hope that Topps compensaited him for that. They do love American money in Canada. I used to goto the casino there in Windsor almost every weekend back in the day. I would take $100 American and get $150 Canadian. Another great vlog as always, thanks for sharing !!

The Mantle signature shown on the phone is a facsimile. The Week of Dreams program was handed out to attendees of the camp and it had Mantle's facsimile auto on it. Hundreds of these were printed for attendees. Topps cut the facsimile signature from the program and embedded it into a card and tried to pass it off as real. Way to go Topps.
