Personally, i always imagine characters speaking their mother tongue in games or movies when a nation that speaks language other than English. Like for eg., I'd imagine in old GoW they'd be talking in Greek and i understand them therefore i hear/translate them into English in my mind, same goes to GoW '18 nd Ragnarok; most of the time he and others speak Nordic tongue, but Kratos can't read so Atreus is needed in first game

I have a new theory for you: Atreus is actually named after himself, Atreus of Sparta is actually the Atreus we know. When Atreus and Kratos ultimately have to go their separate ways for whatever reason (death, fake death, whatever) Atreus’s journey comes to an end when he travels back in time to be with his father again and to truly get to know him before he became cursed. He saves his life and gives his own the way the story was told to him so that his father could live on and go forward with the events that eventually unfold.

This is a great theory that would make a beautiful circle of life. The only thing that would have to change is the look of Atreus, like a mask or something. Kratos would definately figure out real quick that Atreus was his son Atreus. What father wouldn't look into the eyes of his son/ daughter and not recognize them?

So apparently there are 2 given options for Tyr's father. Hymir, a Jotunn, or Odin. Hymir is probably more like since it's from a more consistent and reliable source. So they could sort of combine the two and have Odin "adopt" Tyr... but honestly it would probably be a forced adoption lol. That would kind of explain why a lot of Aesir don't seem to like him, I guess? Although I'm not sure how many of the Goods hated the Giants... I didn't get the impression it was all of them. Idk if it was even most.

The whole soul part about Ares. Do you think they kind of implemented it with Atreus putting the souls of giants into the spheres? 16.25 maybe easier to say parallel universes and tyr found a way to cross through to go to a parallel universe. Like how we travelled to jotenheim or maybe he used a boat like freyrs with the a travel rune. Btw you'll be fine everyone has lots of theories someone is bound to cover a theory someone else has already done. Like you said like of GOW KZbinrs out there.

This might be a long shot but what if the mask and Pandora's Box are somehow connected to the higher plane of existence. The power of hope in Pandoras box and the mask to grant infinite knowledge, what if when Kratos goes to Egypt there is a item that grants something like immortality or w.e and that becomes the focus of the story. I wonder if the demiurge is focused on all of these pantheons because they hold special powers and they want it for themselves. Idk man just a random thought, what do you all think?

Adjacent theory for "multiverse" or "bubble" theory. In the Norse God of War games, it is mentioned that the realms are layered on top of each other. What if that is how all the pantheon worlds work. That each pantheon is a different layer, or layers, like Olympus and Mortal Greece being different layers, how the sun and moon of Vanaheim didn't affect Midgard or Asgard.

I have a theory on Thor's "Death". I don't think he went to a "Higher Plane of Existence" like Athena as you said in a previous video. Hear me out. We know Thor is Half-Giant as was pointed out in the game. We also know from Angrboda that Giants somehow have a way of controlling souls and can put them in different objects/animals. Could it be that Thor did that subconsciously when impaled by Odin? Maybe it was his reaction to avoid death. We could probably get some answers in the next Atreus game when he goes looking for Giants. Maybe he'll find Thor's soul somewhere in the next game.

I have a theory that the God of war series ends with 4 upcoming parts. Two parts will focus on the Chinese pantheon. Atreus gathers giants and gets into trouble, and Kratos saves him. China is a rich culture that contains everything God of war needs from monsters, dragons and environments, endless diversity and The last two parts will return to the Greeks and kill the rest, but the god of Egypt will be there due to the strong relationship between Egypt and the Greeks.

About the bubble theory I believe that it could be something like in Thor the dark world when Thor and Loki travel from Asgard to Midgard they went through a hidden portal that didn't look like a portal it was like just a cave so that's how I believe Kratos arrived to Egypt he was just wandering until he got through a hidden portal

I Think that Kratos' Immortality comes from the ashes of Prometheus that was merge within Kratos in God of war 2. That is why Kratos was able to heal from his wounds in God of war 3 and 4. I also see parallel between Kratos giving the light of hope to humanity by killing himself and Prometheus who got punished by stealing the fire from the gods and giving it to humanity.

My theory specifically revolves around what happened at the end of GOW3.

In GoW 2018 he tells Atrius that he was born a God but from my understanding in the first st GoW he was a human general who "prayed" to Aries for the strength to win the battle in return for his soul, I didn't play any of the other games between the original and GoW 2018 so I'm not sure when it was stated that he was born a God.

Hey Kap, I recently watched your video on the Blades of Chaos and I have a bit of a theory but it's far-fetched. Alright so we know the Blades are made from Primodial fire, so what if the Blades were made for a being named Chaos and Kratos became the embodiment of the being, Chaos (Kratos/Chaos), and that's why the Blades are forever banded to him which resulted in his Immortality curse. So perhaps what I'm trying to get at here is, could Chaos be the original God/Titan of War for the Greeks and when Ares killed him, he took on the embodiment of Chaos as Kratos did when he killed Ares? I think I'm looking into it a bit too much, like to know what you think about it.

Well, in actual greek mythology Chaos is literally the first thing ever. In the beginning there was no earth, no heaven, no living beings. Just Chaos. Chaos therefore is (or was in GoW at least) the oldest being. Not sure how Santa Monica interpreted it tho... I mean they just show it as a big thing being killed, so who knows. You might be onto something, tho the immortality part is still far-fetched...

The reason in God of War Loki's mask existed was because in actual mythology Odin gives up his eye to Mimir for knowledge and in God of War Mimir is a worker for Odin

I think those green rifts are uncompleted gateways to the higher plane of existense, with the mask being the key to open it. I think Athena has grown more powerfull over time in the higher plane of existence, and now wants to leave it by talking to Odin and making him believe it has all the answers. I think Kratos must have been dragged/transported to the Norse lands for a reason, it seems unlikely he just got dragged all the way over there for practicly no reason. I think there might be some other powerfull gods other than Athena that reside in the higher plane of existence and know of her attemts to escape it, intervening in their own way by having Kratos be transported there. I think in the next few games we'll find out way more about the higher plane of existence and maybe we'll even see some of the other gods that reside there, maybe in the form of a creature, or by signs they give Kratos, leading him to answers. I also think that within the next few games, Athena will either escape the higher plane of existence by manipulating another pantheon like the egyption panthion by pretending to be someone that pantheon sees as their superior or something, or she will almost escape and we'll have to fight our way through another pantheon of gods to try and stop Athena from escaping. Just something I thought of though, could be completely wrong for all I know or it has already been explored as a possibility, no idea. Haven't been watching any GOW content for months.
