Kaptain, I have a theory. When Atreus first travels to Ironwood the young man finds himself seing visions of his past. But there are a couple of events that didn't happen, like Kratos and Atreus separating after killing Modi. Now, after that there is an image of child atreus finding the wooden mask. My theory is that what we are seeing is the original timeline the Giants predicted, one where Kratos and The Boy's relationship wasn't built and was full of unhappiness. This leads to arguments between father and son and eventually Atreus wanting to run to Odin and really become his apprentice. The mural at the end of the Game (2018) doesn't depict Kratos dying but Atreus taking Kratos soul away after battling Thor so Atreus can finally be free. I believe this was what Faye saw and avoided, deciding to unite the pair and creating a better future where her husband and son were a true family. Heres a potential theory I have, what if Thor and Laufey were siblings? I had this thought when I was in the Crater, and wondering the true reason why they fought. Mimir does give us a vague reason as to why, but I think it might be deeper. If they were siblings then like how Thor was a failed experiment then Faye was the successful experiment, only being brushed aside because Odin wanted one of his sons to be the chosen one. This theory would help explain how Faye and Tyr met, and it would also explain why the giants rejected Faye's please to change, because they didn't trust her being half Aesir. So she frustratedly left and went to Vanaheim and after trying to convince Thor to switch sides fails at the tavern is when the fight began with her not being able to finish a Thor die to then being family.

Theory: Loki's new weapon Gathering various materials after hearing about the lady of the lake, Loki would visit her to craft him a weapon that would go on to define him beyond his bow and arrow. He brings her the following Feathers of a Valkyrie The unbreakable chain that Mimir tells us about The winds of Hel The fires of musphelhiem Fangs from Fenrir Scales of the world serpent These items are then forged into two new weapons that will serve as his hand to hand combat and sword combat. The blades of Ragnarok: made from the feathers of the Valkyries, unbreakable chain and the primordial elements, these blades would function just like the blades of chaos but would be faster and could change elemental types at Loki's command. The blades can also combine into a great sword that has a similar appearance to the blade of Artemis. Fenrir Cestus: A call back to the Nemean cestus, these gauntlets made from the fangs of Fenrir and scales of the world serpent, these gauntlets are light fast and they have the ability to stack damage the more Loki strikes his target and they are good for breaking through tough blockades. I still think that the next god of war will adapt itself to finish what the original plan was, for Kratos to meet a Norse and Egyptian equivalent of himself, with Atreus being the Norse one. Originally, the Norse and Egyptian gods would attack Greece after seeing the power vacuum, but now, the Egyptian gods attack the Norse pantheon after the death of many of it’s powerful gods. Kratos goes to Egypt to accomplish a task in order to save his people and he winds up meeting his Egyptian ally, and after they make Egypt become a better land and defeat the bad guys, he, Atreus, and their Egyptian equivalent become the three wise men.

As I've seen speculation about whether Deimos is still alive and serving the Egyptian pantheon of gods, I thought I could add some of my own theories to that. If we do (hopefully) get more God of War games and if they do end up being set in Egypt, I'd like to imagine it starts with Kratos having a vision of Deimos asking him to find him in Egypt. As Mimir and Freya wish to stay and oversee the Eight Realms, Tyr volunteers to join Kratos, as he has most likely visited Egypt before. Then partway through Kratos and Tyr's journey through Egypt, they perhaps meet with Atreus, as he hears rumours of Giants hiding in Egypt. The rest of what happens, I haven't been able to speculate on, but I think it would also be cool if Lunda creates a body for Mimir, so perhaps he can join Kratos as a companion and help us fight enemies, with his own unique skill tree. But... who knows? P.S: Another cool thing I've seen people mention, is how it would be cool if Tyr could be a sort of optional boss/sparring partner for training, to practice all your moves. Perhaps in the Egyptian saga, that could be something the developers implement and if they did, it would be pretty cool if each time you do it, Tyr provides feedback on your progress, encouraging you and giving advice.

We know Thor is Half-Giant as was pointed out in the game. We also know from Angrboda that Giants somehow have a way of controlling souls and can put them in different objects/animals. Could it be that Thor did that subconsciously when impaled by Odin? Maybe it was his reaction to avoid death. Also another theory that I heard of is that when Thor died at the end of the game, he faded away due him going into the same plane of greater divity like Athena did. This would be an interesting as a deeper plot device thats related to Odin's quest to discover what is beyond gods and what may be in store for them. Perhaps gods who change and expand beyond their basic nature (like Thor seeking peace instead of brutal violence at the end of his life) before death are able to trasend into something greater. The first theory is pretty cool all things considered, but the only problem I have with it is that there's no Norse magic powerful enough for backwards time travel, as said by Mimir. And even if Atreus got to Greece it still wouldn't work because the magic there is dead as said by Freya. Still a good theory tho

I have a few ones: 1. What If Heimdall are not dead, and just he is to weak to wake Up himself? 2. If Kratos free The Souls Hades Have capture in GOW3, what If Deimos or Caliope are Alive again looking for him around The world, and maybe Atreus Will find him in his travels 😅 3. If Mimir made a deal with The eagle Of hell to find another ho wants to become Hell himself, what If at The final Kratos or his futures Sons take that place to finish The Caos in the realms?😅

For no.3: in Norse mythology loki and angrboda have 3 kids, we saw two of them in ragnarok, jormy and fenrir, the third is hel, so that line is likely setting up loki freeing another giant soul and swapping places with hraesvilgr’s soul

The first theory would make it a time loop
@alexdonnelly5586 Жыл бұрын
What I find interesting about the Atreus theory is something unsaid. The original timeline has Kartos agreeing with Laufey to name his son Loki. In the jotunheim mural, it is shown kratos dies while Loki is still young, so Loki grows up wishing he had more time with his father. He then remembers his fathers stories of Greece and decides to time travel to then to be with him. He knows he can'r go as Loki because its not a Grecian name, so he changes it to Atreus, fights alongside his father, and lays down his life for Kratos, which is presumably returning the favor of how Kratos died protecting him. This leads Kratos to have the story for Atreus of Sparta, and naming his son Atreus. This shifts the timeline to what we play in the games, avoiding a paradox of Atreus time traveling to be Atreus of Sparta, but Atreus of Sparta having to have already given his life for Kratos so he would name his son Atreus. And the giants didn't see Loki time traveling in the future because, as the last mural shows, they were showing the end of Kratos' story. I may have overcomplicated it or may have been completely wrong, but like I said, timeline shift is the only way you avoid the paradox. Also, it probably takes Kratos hundreds of winters to get to midgard showing how much more aged he is, and tyr's unity stone could let him travel to other pantheons, that's how he got that vase and the wine and had it stored in the vault. Greece has already been rebuilt and Kratos seen as a hero for freeing the Greeks from Zeus. And for people wondering why I say hundreds of winters, Tyr has been "dead" for quite some time by the time Kratos goes on the journey with Atreus, so Tyr would've had to go to Greece and get the vase very long ago to put it in his vault. The vase is quite obviously of Grecian design, so it's not like Tyr got it from the future seeing giants, who would've probably put it on a mural not a vase, where in Greece a lot of stories were told on vases. I could be wrong however. Like maybe Tyr gets it from an Oracle who used the cryptic images of Kratos and the rebuilding of Greece to suggest Kratos comes back to Greece to rebuild, but I think my original theory makes a little bit more sense just from what we know for sure from the games. Great theories though! Really good job!
@SapingoProductions Жыл бұрын
Kratos and Tyr have not had a formal sit down or onscreen conversation other than when Kratos and Freya rescue him from the prison after the main game's climax. With Atreus gone to look for the giants in realms or universes beyond the nine realms, he is now out of reach for Kratos. I theorize that to kick off the next game, Atreus will be in some kind of distress, unknown to us to keep us guessing. The game opens with a dream sequence similar to that of Kratos in Ragnarok, when Faye guides his decisions. Kratos only see glimpses, but Atreus' voice is constant. Atreus is pleading for help, and before he could give anymore information the Atreus' voice suddenly stops and you hear a loud roar of an unseen antagonist. Kratos is jolted out of his sleep. Kratos has either seen a landscape or a symbol not known to him. He draws the symbol or the scene and shows it to Mimir. Mimir is somewhat uneasy about what he sees and suggests they find Tyr. Tyr, to our knowledge is the only being to have travelled between pantheons and will be crucial to Kratos having any chance in locating Atreus. Tyr is still doing his rounds in the 9 realms trying to rebuild. Kratos and Tyr finally meet properly and it kicks off the new adventure to find Atreus.

I noticed one small thing in the past games that happen again in Ragnarok, there are only 2 gods that in their deaths didn't just die like a normal body instead they "dematerialized" in a very similar way, these were Athena and Thor both of them just disappeared when they were killed after doing something that wasn't selfish (which is a big thing for a god), Athena latter on re appeared as an higher entity which we now know is connected to the mask, it seems to me that Thor might get the same treatment and appear again in the future.

I do like the theory about Atreus, but I also think the seeds of humanity that blossom in Kratos should truly come from Faye. She gave him so much wisdom and in Ragnarok, Kratos was finally able to give part of what he learned from her to Atreus. It mean so much coming from Faye i think and would take away from Ragnarok is Atreus was the one to do that all along and for it not to truly be that Faye was just that amazing of a person/Giant/ character

I have a theory that may aline with atreus of sparta: atreus in his journeys may try to figure out who his dad was. So he could go to olympus, in his search of who his dad used to be, some god like Athena will try to turn atreus against his own dad. This would make a lot of sense because Athena turned into a being of vengeance after her death. So it would make a lot of sense if she tried to get back at kratos by doing something to plague atreus's mind by turning him against kratos in his findings of "looking for all the giants".

Maybe showing Atreus What kratos had done to this lands “giants“ like how he killed kronos and Gaia Prometheus Aegaeon perses and any other titans that I cannot think of as a way of making Atreus resent Kratos as kratos did his own father putting Atreus on a path of which kratos Went to great lengths for Atreus to not be like him

i had a theory that Athena was going to take the survivors of each realm Kratos decimated and used them to create the Roman pantheon, since it's well-known that Rome took Greek gods and gave them new names. but with the Rift and the events of Ragnarok, i'm throwing that one away and leaning towards the Demiurge theory

I think I posted this on one of your other videos but by the end of ragnorak I got the feeling that Thor and Faye were most likely half siblings with different fathers. Maybe Fjörgyn was only married to Odin to dissuade him from killing more giant's after Ymir. Years after Thor is born maybe Odin starts to realize her intentions or finds out shes had another child with another man, most likely a giant, he gets angry and has Thor kill her, Thor goes to Vanaheim gets blackout drunk and Faye seeking revenge for her mother starts this fight with him. Him being blackout drunk would make it make more sense as to how he'd forget someone froze his lightning once

I have a theory: the real origins of rift of creation. we know that Odin killed Ymir (the first Jotunn), and that the Jotunn's flesh spread across several realms, and in the location where Odin killed Ymir there is the rift of creation. Ymir was an ice giant, it is said that the rift of creation is the light that Athena releases after death, Ymir's ice could have reached Greece, creating the titan Oceanus (Athena's father), this also explains why Odin knows many things about Greece and especially about Kratos's deeds. then if after GOW3 Kratos ends up in Egypt it is because since Odin could control Greece, Athena to forge Kratos's destiny wanted to send him to the nine northern realms, at the beginning of Fallen God we see Kratos who due to a storm ends up in Egypt, that storm was caused by Odin because he thought that the ghost of Sparta would have ruined those realms so he made him take a path to stop the anger, and Thot in Fallen God is Odin transformed. then God of War Valhalla I think is a way for Kratos to get rid of Athena, God of War Ragnarok ends Kratos' adventures in the nine northern kingdoms but Athena is still chasing him, so he goes to Valhalla to get rid of Athena.

Kaptain, this isn’t really a theory, but I want to point out something I noticed at the end of the game that I don’t think anyone else has pointed out. When Atreus is about leave, I noticed that the outline of Faye’s face can be seen to the left in the rock face. I’m not sure what this could mean besides symbolism, but I just want to know if I’m crazy.

i really hope people see this because i think the next game should be kratos going back to greece meeting athena (being the queen of everything like zues) and also another woman who is serving athena destroying and protecting in her name, sound familiar? this woman? calliope. Now obviously calliope would be super pissed at kratos since he abandoned her multiple times and she got out of eleysium and gained godly powers from kratos or whatever im not sure how it would work but i think it would make for an excellent game

I like the idea of the first theory, but there is a problem with it. Mainly because of the fact that Atreus is a god and would be stronger than the entire Spartan army and it could possibly catch the attention of Ares and the rest of the Olympian gods. He also has Nordic tattoos on his neck that could be noticed by the other Spartans. But, other than that, it is still an interesting theory.
@kap1chu Жыл бұрын
what im about to tell isn't a theory, more like a fan fic, but i hope that if kratos one day returns to greece, he will be shocked to see that his former home was taken by the roman empire with former greek gods (even those who died) transformed to be their roman counterparts from the myths. I wonder how would old kratos react to his reborn father or ares standing right before him. It would be cool to see, but i doubt that it will ever happen
@aleanddragonITA Жыл бұрын
My theory of The Greek/Roman Pantheon was that when Kratos was still a servant of Ares/The Gods, a War between the two Pantheons happened And with the Help of Kratos the Greek Gods defeated the Roman's and replaced them as the Greek-Roman's God's Because Rome had other gods before The Greek-Roman But there a problem: we know little to nothing about them (as all documents about them where destroyed) It's theorised that some Gods shared the same names, but are different Ex: Mars in the Greek-Roman is basically Ares But in the OG-Roman version He was God of Agriculture (with nothing to do with Wars) also it apparently had a more important role (akin to Poseidon/Ares or Zeus himself) So because of a Lack of Informations we can't have a Game or Comic dedicated to this Pantheon But only vague references Like having Kratos saying something like: ''Pantheons can take over other Pantheons, like when The Olympians conquered Rome, slaughtered their Gods and replaced them'' Note: Having the Greek Gods simply return to life because they are worshiped by the Romans sounds bad, it sounds like ''How God Of War should have ended'' Someone remember the ''How Should It Have Ended'' KZbin Serie? Yeah, that With Kratos that killed all the Gods and then Mars appeared and then Kratos was ''nah, I already killed you''

Sins Ragnarok and the prophecy of Keatos's death I've had this theory. I promise it'll be interesting. We know that Calliope is dead. But Kratos died multiple times. What if she escapes hell with a deep resentment for her father after killing her and her mother, abandoning her and destroying all greek. So she awakens her powers and become Hel. Reviving all Titans, monsters and gods using necromancy and matching them to the norse realm. Atreus in his search for Giants finds out about her and go back with an army of giants and allies to warn and help his father. She will confront Kratos but we couldn't kill his daughter again. So successfully kills him. Atreus arrives to see his father dead so he turns like his father from Greece, full of rage and vengeance. He would lead the remainings and the army he brought to march back to Greece for vengeance. After many battles Atreus would know that she's his sister and what Kratos did to his family. So Atreus convince her somehow that he changed. And Freya telling her that he never stop mourning her death. Calliope stops her army and so as Atreus. So they eather live happily ever after or Atreus couldn't forgive her and kills her in the moment of making peace or he tricks her and imprison her in Helheim.

I wonder if there’s gonna be a connection to hel and norse mythology and Anubis somehow, that would be really interesting for some reason out of everything hell is the same place and all religions / mythologies or something like that that would be amazing like, imagine if that bird(vragelviiis ) gives up her seat as the seventh keeper of hel and you see the Egyptian god Anubis come out of nowhere and try to claim it, and maybe that will be their way of trying to conquer the pantheons or something and they know once the Greek pantheon was overthrown, they couldn’t make their move, but they first had to pinpoint where the person who destroyed the so-called “smart gods “( as they trying to track of the heroes, and also having a run in with the norse but this time He tries to aTone for his past sins and he has a son-- As they try to get a hold of this god killer/ turned keeper of justice ( or destroyer turner rebuilder as u said ))-- kratos - But they weren’t able to find him but instead ….someone more valuable manage to come to their land in search of his people the so call giants or as his people call it “jothans” ( it would be all foreign to Egyptians, but kind of the same ) but imagine if they captured Atreus and tried to turn him against his father- or something even more crazy , and we see maybe an appearance by sindri maybe Brok comes back maybe, somehow they find all the pieces to his soul, and were able to see that story come to peace but there’s so many things that could happen Thor could come back, ( maybe from a higher plane of existence, possibly to help atreus- they always hinted at them having a similar upbringing ( Son of a god and a giant when he is with thor in Ragnarok, they speak of this exactly ) because well ya no he banished but this would be a really cool approach And also, let’s not forget we also hear a lot about Faye, she once had a battle with thor -that for the most part, ended in a standstill, ( even her dialogue when she first met kratos “ yes that day we first met we merely ripped each other‘s heads off “ ( that is not an easy feat either ) I wouldn’t be surprised if she has other enemies that we don’t know of or just stuff from her past …. - maybe when we see the axe it will be Recognized, but my mimir needs a body lol -Geez, there is so many things I could go off with, but if they do go Egyptian, I would be so happy!! Always awesome my friend hopefully when you came to the states, you were able to pick up some NYC Pizza 🍕 !!! Here's how I see the future: Atreus is captured by Apophis (The Egyptian God of Chaos) Horus (An old friend of Tyr) rushes to Midgard to inform Tyr. And Tyr informs Kratos. Kratos can't leave because Freya is pregnant (Yes in this fanfic, after spending so much time together, things _happen_ ). So instead Thrud, Angrboda, and Skjolder travel to Egypt (with Tyr as their guide since he's been there before) to save their mutual friend. And because of Thor's violence against the giants, there's some mistrust and friction between Thrud and Angrboda.

Odin is alive in Sindri’s Hammer. Freya makes the remark regarding a powerful spell Sindri Casts on a Seed of the world tree: “All that just by tapping it with a hammer?” Ragnarok reveals that dwarves can cast unbelievably powerful spells that can even impress the Vanir just by tapping an object with a hammer. GoW 2018 Also reveals that in a split second, dwarves can trap a soul inside of small objects in order to preserve the soul inside. The soul inside is then able to speak to someone like Atreus. I believe that Sindri transferred Odin’s soul into his hammer, taking him prisoner. This is because NO ONE knows what lies beyond better than Odin. Sindri can’t let Brok go, so he’s taken Odin prisoner to figure out what Odin learned when he hanged himself from the world tree. Sindri HAS to bring Brok back, no matter what.
