Well, in Mega Man's defense, Rockman Taisen is supposedly coming soon based on the big Capcom leak. Even if you don't believe the leak, the new head of the series confirmed in 2019 or 2020 that the next mainline title is in the works. Plus, Mega Man's latest original game is X Dive from 2019 which is still getting consistent support to this day. Mega Man is definitely far from dead/dormant. Still, the cameos are much appreciated.

Honestly it's pretty funny that Mega Man makes appearances in other Capcom games. It's probably what they did to make the excuse of hey here's Mega Man after it had been so long between releases of Mega Man games. 😂

favorite appearances of the blue bomber would be super smash bros.(was so happy to see him back and was favorite wii u newcomer along with lucina,palutena,rosalina & especially bayonetta and hope we see him next game with roll/looking more like his 8 design.:3),mario maker(wish they came back with the new characters for 2 instead of it missing a lot.),dragolia lost(loved seeing rock,roll & dr. light interacting with the main characters.:3). devil may cry 5(love nero doing the jump.:3),while not an appearance akira kazama from rival schools being a fan of him(with the 5 costumes really want to see them in a capcom x capcom vs. game to see her reaction.) and zack & wiki(wish they showed up in the capcom vs. games as that game definitely deserved better since it was pretty much wind waker mixed with megaman legends as captain rose was basically tron bonne & the servbots.:3). also that theme with bonelich was sonson not wily castle 2 and man megaman was weird in street fighter x tekken(his roll was basically her and roll caskett fusioned with poison/kinda an unfortunate insult to fans with the cancellations that happened at the time.) would've preferred just using the actual one(considering an onimusha fighter had zero & battle network though with the huge problems sfxt had probably lucked out missing it.) instead of that and an ugly pacman(odd use of mokujin too instead of a sentient training dummy that he usually is the role of.).

Everything was good until: 1. You said to play Mega Man 2 music in place of Mario Kart, umm Battle & Chase. There's more to the franchise than MM2. 2.
