It’s refreshing to see that she knows the privilege she comes from, acknowledges it and then talks from that perspective. She could’ve chose to become an actress.. even a bad one but glad she chose the path she did to empower other women and use the platform for Betterment of India. Everything is rehearsed, some celebrities even insist on what can and cannot be asked. Naturally they sound assured, their PR has done all the work for them. My contention was not the content of their talk but the rationale to showcase two people who have no credibility on their own without their famous family name.

Feminism is when women stand up for themselves and other women especially when they are in distress but in India women have been the worst enemies of women. The dowry system in India stayed on because of women. If they had put their foot down against the dowry system it would have been abolished long back.
