Navya seemed the most calm and composed among all 3. But i liked Jayajis advice of girls learning to say No coz that's very important when an young girl goes out alone in this world to make her name Or any woman in an household struggling to get some relief from handling the entire family!!

Navya is surprisingly patient and tolerant of her seeming domineering mother who enjoys putting her down in front of the whole world. I would have run away by now. Hats off to you Navya for still showing respect to your mother. Shweta should tone her condescending comments down if she can't stop herself from speaking in this derogatory manner towards her daughter. They take pride in the fact that they verbally attack her constantly. Toxic environment for a young girl!! Back off ladies

I believe that you're of a different nationality. So in India, it's pretty common. Our mothers sort of put us down and talk about our bad qualities all the time, when they're talking to masi Nani mami bua dadi, family friends, aunties. It's a common thing, rooted in the "nazar" concept. 😀 Actually in our country if a higher class kid is being treated well by parents, the middle class goes crazy and thinks that their kids are spoilt. So the privileged kids are not publiced praised by their parents specially, they know that their privilege is hated upon by the middle class and if they praise their kid, then the family will not be thought of as well cultured and "Desi". 😀

Your absolutely right. Navya showed grace, poise, dignity and empathy towards people in general which both the senior ladies lacked throughout. Shweta was right when she said she was opinionated. She was literally putting down her daughter on camera. And it's useless taking about Jayaji. I've still to come across a human more high-handed, brash, rude, having a mighty than thou attitude than Jaya Bachchan. She takes the cake. What a lousy character she is. Shame on her.

@@antoinettedsouza6162 the older we get the more we have this idgaf and yolo attitude. Older people have little or no filter, just like a 5 year old. They've got nothing to lose by speaking their mind and "how" to speak it. No decoration needed. We've seen sathiyae hue cute buddhe dadu who are still endearing. But Nani and dadi have historically not been that way because it's a relatively new concept for having a 3/4th generation working woman. She's the example of 3/4th generation working woman, they have equal amount of experiences and perspectives like sathiyae hue cute buddhe dadu but sathiayi cute dadi who speaks her mind is a new and upper middle class/upper class concept, hence most Indians aren't used to it. We're used to dadis n Nanis being limited to being the understanding sacrificing adorable women who express their love to us by feeding us and telling us stories.

Does Shweta really think that criticizing her daughter (almost incessantly) like the way she did in this interview is going to help the kid? Navya is 25, for god's sake! Treat her respectfully and like someone who can think for herself. Shweta needs to go take a Parenting 101 class, seriously. This is a common practice in India - to control kids, to treat them like they cannot do anything without their parents' haranguing them. Shweta, and Jaya too, would do well to go read Kahlil Gibran's On Children - "Your children are not your children. They are the sons and daughters of Life’s longing for itself. They come through you but not from you, And though they are with you yet they belong not to you. You may give them your love but not your thoughts, For they have their own thoughts. You may house their bodies but not their souls, For their souls dwell in the house of tomorrow, which you cannot visit, not even in your dreams. You may strive to be like them, but seek not to make them like you."

Navya’s fondness for books & reading is natural. It’s in her DNA. Very smart and bright girl.

The anchor is very cute, but no offence she is looking like Nayandeep Rakshit has put on a wig for the show. Just can't get over this thought throughout the interview so had to type it 😃

Very great interview.. i loved Navya's behaviour towards her Nani n mom...kahaan bolna h Kahan nhi..she knows very well.. Bachchans are known for their well behaved attitude....unlike rest of the Bollywood families who believe in showsha..

So Aishwarya is not counted as bacchan. Talking about respect equality, yet still considering daughter in law as an outsider

I see how navya chose to be better over shit parenting coming from women like jaya bachchan and shweta nanda. I am glad she turned out to be so humble. It's irony that the person who indulge in spreading more negativities expect others to think positive. It's funny how people don't clean up their act through words still speak for it. Masha'Allah what an interview it was lol.

Navya is the smartest & the cutest of all the ladies, so pls keep your overconfidence with you both the ladies. Some people saying poor Aishwarya is stuck between them. Aishwarya is no less. She just talks softly but she is no less than these 2. I like Shwetas kids. Bother boy & girl are amazing. I think they’re the best in the family.

All are speaking from the space of privilege. You can actually go and do business because you have money. You need not seek validation from social media when a sizeable population adores you for just being related to Mr. bacchan. All said and done the young girl is very grounded. I felt the older ladies were very condescending towards the girl and others in general.

Showering dulaar and laadh on interviews would also give an impression that they mollycoddle their kids unlike humble middle class families. And in the end they're Desi, and desi families hardly shower praises in public! Bashing is the most relatable part that I felt 😂 specially as the first born child of the generation

Why call them Bacchan women? A surname is never a woman's own!

I agreed. Navya is not even a Bachan. She's a Neveli! Bachan is like brand name for them to go ahead.
