I think the suspension is what sold me on Obsidian. I'm almost 50 and my regular bike has very little suspension and once you get off the paved trails the tree roots, etc tend to rattle me far too much. Great review.

Now something real crazy. Yamaha 30 year anniversary sale. Moro 07 was $6,400. Now $2,560. Picking it up tomorrow from South Valley Yamaha. Yes, you can borrow it for a review. Ride on.

Thanks for the video and tips for the obsidian build out. I’m torn between which e-bikes to buy…sure it’s great to see so many e-bike reviews on KZbin…bike🚴⚡️ To be honest it has made the process of deciding more complicated. Now I’m overwhelmed with choices…lol 😅 I watch every review for the Mokwheel Obsidian I can find. Sure it takes extra time to read the comments but it’s definitely worth it. Why read comments? Because you (often) find valuable information from other Mokwheel Obsidian owners. I wish the handlebars were not so narrow and flat, I wish there was a dealer in my area. I wonder if I can use a BMX style or swept back style handlebars without losing left and right steering travel b/c the cables are not long enough. Has Mokwheel made the rear rack available yet…it’s been out of stock and unavailable for a long time. A bigger and/or better display would be nice. I would love to know if I can purchase an extra battery. 🔋 Does the display have a USB port to charge our phones? I don’t understand why Mokwheel did not design the obsidian to have a functional (integrated) brake light. I hope someone can provide me some feedback, but I’m not holding my breath.

tested is only 60 miles, the rest is awesome though, i just wish we had a dealer here in Vegas as i dont buy a bike unless i can go see it , and sit on it. ive been burned with my mountain bikes just ordering it from online.

Great review! I am a heavier than you so it will be interesting to see how it will handle 295lbs. Do you know if this bike can be unlocked from class 2 to class 3 for increased top end to 28mph?

Up to 28 mph on Level 5 PAS

I suspect the 400lb payload is part of what makes this really well suited to your needs. A lot of bike hide the fact that the bikes weight limit is usually right around 200lbs (often less). Plus, 1000w of power!

its actually classless, even though its sticker says Class 2 on the seat post. This coming from pro reviews ....they say its the fastest they tested.

Did he say 4.5 inch wide tires ?

Manual says 30 miles on a full charge. Manual sucks and leaves to way too much guessing. To the guy that asks what about 5'6" and smaller. I would advise against it. High for my legs to get over and I am over 6'.
