First Melee major where Top 4 was all players that had never previously won a major since Tournament Go 6, but at that point only Ken had won a major and he failed to make Top 8. Here there was Zain, Cody, aMSa, Hungrybox, Jmook, Wizzrobe, Leffen, and Axe, 8 players that have all won a major in the past. 5 of them failed to make Top 8, all 8 of them failed to make Top 4. And this tournament crowned a new major winner (Spoilers) moky finally won his first major after that being a storyline since 2023, and it was looking shaky this year because moky's middle of the year was pretty rough, and people were even expecting Aklo to be that next one who was expected to win a major because his 2nd half of 2024 was looking amazing, especially with his performances against Zain. But moky brought it back with an amazing win to become the 21st player to win a Melee major, and the first Canadian player to win a Melee major

It sucks that Aklo beat their shared bracket demon, but couldn't take the tournament. On the other hand, Moky's prowess in the fox ditto is incredible and this tournament win was long overdue.

Anybody else agree that Melee had peak sound design for the series? Each strong hit in this sit felt so satisfying because of the sound design. Smash, boom, pow, each hit sounds like it goes so hard. Brawl, Smash 4, and Ultimate sound design feels like it's trying to give you a paper cut with a cotton swab.
