All antibonding and bonding MOs are not degenerate. MO doesn't use hybridization; it's a completely different concept where the possible wavefunctions of each orbital of one atom/ligand mix with another orbital/ligand to form a bonding/anti-bonding orbital

Why do we assume that 4 1s orbitals of the 4 hydrogen atoms and 4 sp3 hybridised orbitals of the carbon atom have the same energy?
