Mollys mother is an inspiring woman. Very impressing. They are a beautyful family and Molly will always be a part of them. They took on grief and turned it into strength to continue their journey here on earth in the best way possible and to help others doing the same. Truly amazing people.

This looks like a family with so much love between each other. It is so sad that Molly had to go too soon, 😪. She was a gorgeous girl with a beautiful heart. Can't imagine her sister's memories of that day, 😪. But I bet they always keep her present, always. What a great kids this parents have raised. Thank you for sharing your story to help others with their grief.

This is an amazing family. I'm certain their story of such tragic grief will help so many. Keeping Molly in their family, as they moved forward, is so lovely. RIP Molly

This family’s sharing of the grief experience is very open and positive. What has been talked about is not exactly anything new but it is good to hear grief discussed openly, that grief will never go away, that life will not be the same, that we will always have a hole in our hearts, that counseling may not always work for everyone, that we each have to find our strength and resilience to move forward with the loss. But grief is not the same for everyone. Life experiences, aloneness, guilt, regrets even adverse medical experiences/errors can all affect the grief suffering making it almost unbearable.

So we'll explained. And yes, you don't know what will help you or how to stop that type of pain. Next month my daughter will be gone 10 years and I'm still in shock at time, just can't believe this vibrant full of life girl I brought in my to be this world is s no longer part of our lives. The intensity lessons but the aching never goes away for me. At times I still wake up and think " oh thank God it was only a dream" but within seconds it's clear when your stomach drops yet again, that yes it is true she's really gone. I haven't been able to watch old videos of her on hear her laugh yet, much to painful. But I do love looking at her photos around our home. I've made a new life without her, but it doesn't feel full, I have a hole and probably always will. Thank you for sharing your story. Hugs

No one ever discusses the loss from a siblings view so TY.

Couldn’t agree more…it’s always the poor parents, grandparents, children, but nobody ever says the poor siblings. As siblings, people somehow forget you in the rush to comfort the others affected and you’re left to tough it out as best you can, alone.

💯 advice from all of you! Loving that you are all progressing in your grief process. My 13 & 15 were left without their 20 year old brother in 2009 suddenly due to an accident. I agree with this mother. I focused on what they were facing to make myself get better. This family is so encouraging.

I was 14 when my 4yo sister died. Not once did my parents ask how I was coping. They were too busy grieving & soon after divorced. I learnt at that moment to hide my grief, my feelings, coz if my own parents didn’t care then no one will care.. I’m now 35 & still can’t share my feelings 😢

Write your feelings down. Keep writing until one day you can say them to someone who cares enough to listen.

It's only recently I have learned when young people lose a sibling their grief is overlooked. I hope, even now, you can find a support group even online. I was widowed and after a while people dropped out of my life and I quit talking to others so they wouldn't be burdened or bored. I joined a brilliant, private online widows group and found a place where I could speak at a deeper level and learn from other widows. I was encouraged, challenged, and had great laughs too. Some became my close friends. Take care. ❤

The term ‘young people’ should include those in their 20s too. You’re always invisible as people always rush to comfort the parents of, or the children of. Nobody ever stops to consider how the sibling in their 20s feels or how they’re coping. They don’t ever appear in any statistics, or in anybody’s sphere of consciousness.

Sounds like it was a 4 wheeler accident. Maybe it rolled over her or something. They weren't very specific about what happened. Hopefully it was quick. Rip Molly 😢

unsupervised kids on quad bikes recipe for disaster. 10 year old and 13 year old story does not say what really happened, bad journalism.
