This family should have been awarded money after seeing that the authorities didn’t do their jobs properly. The family was struggling financially and even a good faith settlement would have been a nice gesture from the state. I’m glad the daughter adjusted so quickly to her biological family.

How could anyone have thought the baby dies when there was no body? 🤦‍♀️ Especially fire fighters should know that a human body does not get consumed in something like a house fire, as it doesn't nearly burn hot enough for long enough. This is pure incompetence.
@TonySamedi

The Firefighters thought burnt sheets was an baby body... were they idiots or friends of the kidnapper or something? Seriously, even I know it takes a super high heat to melt BONES.

Not an infants bones... If the crib and mattress was completely consumed, it is possible a small infant would be totally obliterated.
@mommy2libras
@mommy2libras 6 ай бұрын
@@Pissedoffdetective if there was enough left to recognize parts of it as bedding then absolutely not- this fire came nowhere near being hot enough to completely incinerate an infant, or even to consume all of the flesh. I don't know if you caught this but it said they got it under control in 14 minutes. Even an infant would need a much higher heat than would have been produced here and definitely much longer. They were trying to tell this woman she'd been completely incinerated- basically turned to ash. That doesn't happen even in a crematorium with its extreme heat, enclosed environment and 8 hour burning time. There's STILL pieces of bone big enough that it has to be crushed- i have the ashes of 4 or 5 different relatives in my living room right now to prove that. The firemen were neither idiots, nor friends of the kidnapper. For that to be true, you'd have to have an entire fire crew and police be willing to lie to benefit this one, somewhat "off" woman. I highly doubt that. I'm guessing they thought there was no baby to begin with or believed the baby may be somewhere else and that Luz was in such a state of panic she believed her baby was in that room when she actually wasn't. They may have even thought she'd recently lost her baby and was just so traumatized that she wasn't thinking straight and was maybe reliving it by thinking she'd lost her just then.

@@mommy2librasThe actions of the fire fighters don’t add up to what you’re saying. They actually did the opposite of what you said: Your assumption is that the fire fighters thought that there was NO baby in the room/in the bed. If so, they would have NEVER stated that there was ‘nothing left but ashes’ nor would they have given the husband a ‘bag with what was left of the baby’ (*). That actually indicates they DID believe the baby was in there during the fire. If they would have thought that the baby was NOT in there, they simply would have said that there was no evidence of the presence of an infant in that room. The fire fighters have nothing to gain either way and therefore have no reason to lie about any of this to the parents. (*) = although I find that in itself a little hard to believe: authorities handing over a bag containing human remains to the parent of that victim…..

We're embarrassed and ashamed to have used the terms "Puerto Rican immigrants" and "immigrants" in this video, especially having just watched a documentary a few weeks ago on what Puerto Rico has faced to be properly recognized and fairly treated. If it is ,, then they are not immigrants....if logistically it is not part of US ,, or a recognized State in US , then does it not make them immigrants ? What a horrible thing to do, to hand the father a bag and tell him that’s what’s left of his daughter. Even though it turned out not to be pieces of his daughter, it shows what kind of person the officer or firefighter was. That is unacceptable.
@elainelessack
@elainelessack 6 ай бұрын
@shay4ojibwa638: I totally agree with you! Handing the bag of valuable fire evidence to the father was unfeeling, unconscionable, and completely unprofessional. Correct procedure dictates that the purported evidence of human remains be officially delivered to the city or county medical examiner's office! A simple first step in an investigation involving the possible loss of human life! This case was handled egregiously incorrectly by several departments! It begs the questions, "How many other cases have been handled without professional and proper attention? How many other loved ones must have suffered without proper procedural support from the government agencies sworn to serve for the benefit of the people?"
@mommy2libras
@mommy2libras 6 ай бұрын
That doesn't actually happen. If the firemen or police truly thought it was the baby's remains, they wouldn't just hand it over to the family in a bag. There are strict laws about how human remains- regardless of their condition- have to be handled and this would be incredibly illegal.

However: there are WAY TOO MANY incidents that again and again show that the attitude towards PR people is everything BUT helpful and where they ARE treated as ‘second class citizens’ to IGNORE the fact that there IS RACISM towards the people of PR. Any simple Google search will show you uncountable incidents like this. Here’s a well known example: Remember how the people of PR didn’t receive NEARLY the same amount of HELP from the Federal Government after hurricane Irma?? Its a shame the mom and dad broke up but if they hadn't of gone to that birthday party then they wouldn't have got their beloved daughter Delimar back. What a good ending but sad in parts as the mom and dad were no longer together but at least Pedro did get to see his daughter too. I also can't believe the parents weren't able to sue for the terrible mishandling of this case. The people in authority acted with arrogance and distain towards this couple and it smacks of racism. Were they offered an interpreter at any stage or someone to help them navigate all the red tape? Anyway, the mom's a hero and I'm glad things have settles for them and they've moved on. First thing is that my heart goes out to Luz for battling this horrible traumatizing journey alone. Also how could Carolyn just appear at Pedro's house unannounced AND she wasn't even close to him to have that confidence to ask him to fix her car brakes. If i wanted my car's brakes to be fixed, i would go to his job but not to his home. No shame in her game. PLUS Carolyn is seeing the little girl's facial features develop & she clearly looks like Luz. They have the same face. If Carolyn doesn't want to get "caught" then why did she allow Luz to see the child. Just my opinion on it . I am NOT a kidnapper.

What a crazy story! You guys are doing such a wonderful job choosing the stories, one is more interesting than the previous one! You have put so much a work and research into it. I really feel bad for Luz and Pedro. Unfortunately, it's very common for the parents who have lost a child to accident to get divorced. The trauma is just too strong, and blame and guilt, whether founded of not, ruin most relationships. Too bad that the actions of that crazy woman made these two treat each other like enemies, with mutual allegations and even court proceedings. And the long term effe t this must have had on all their children, not only Alia, having g to use a compl3tely different name, but the other children who felt abandoned and inferior to the girl who was abducted. It's so painful for a child to not be the apple of their parents' eye,and to witness all the fights, and the grief and crying. I only hope they grew up without any long term psychological problems.

Please tell me which person on earth, even in the countries that dont speak english, does anyone not understand the word "BABY". When a fire is happening and a mum is obviously frantic saying that word....WHAT ELSE CAN IT MEAN. Like bro she must have at least gestured a shape of her baby to tell the firefighters that so NO WAY would they not know what shes saying.

When there is a paternity txt request now they do one to the mother too to verify that’s the child’s mother. Really sad what this family went through. 🙏🏻🕊😔
