DEFINATELY a sign - I've seen a few. After my grandmother passed away, my mother found a yellow rose - her mother's favorite flower - growing on the side of our house. A SINGLE yellow rose, growing in a place where there had never been roses of any kind, before or since. And, the morning after one of our cats passed away, who'd lived with us for about 20 years and was a very beloved member of the family, I was lying in bed, wide awake but very sad, when I felt her walk up the bed, and put her nose to my face like she'd done many times before. Didn't see her, but definately felt it. I've been told by other people since then that they've had the exact same thing happen. I feel like it was her way of saying goodbye, but the strange part is, there have been times when the house is very quite that I could swear I've heard a cat meow. Totally serious.

When my dad passed away and the coroner was taking him up our driveway a mother deer and her 3 fawns were standing in our driveway and didn’t leave. This is pretty unheard of since the deer usually scatter at the first sight of people, but they stayed. I saw it as a sign that my dad is gone and my mom is left with her 3 kids. This reminds me of a personal experience I had when I was younger and suffering from depression and considering suicide. I woke up one morning and there was a Fantail sitting on the end of my bed. I had no idea how it got in but I opened the windows to let it out and it didn't want to leave. I eventually got it out but the next morning I woke up and there he/she was again at the foot of my bed. I never questioned the experience but believe that the bird was a messenger giving me hope.

When I wrote that I just thought of the fact that the child was a Robinson and the bird is a ROBIN and could be his SON appearing to his mother in the guise of this beautiful creature. Moreover, birds usually don't feel safe approaching humans that way. I though of what the mother must have felt. She is perfectly justified in thinking this is her son visiting her. Oh that is so sad and so beautiful too! I can understand her sadness and her joy perfectly. My daughter died of cancer at only 37 yrs in her prime. She loved life. It rained hard. Then the sun peeped through and a beautiful double rainbow arched across the sky, with brilliant colors as vivid as she was. It did not feel like a coincidence. It felt like a moment of divine grace as if she were speaking to me. I cried and smiled at the same time. The robin could be her son speaking to her. I'm not religious in the least, but it really feels out of this world when these things happen.
