Tony….this is a sobering video. I’m SO VERY THANKFUL your parents are okay. This may be a waste of a perfectly good Town Car…but it’s a simple testament as to how sturdy these Panther platform cars were/are. They got to drive around in pure, silent American luxury in style…and it saved their lives! It gave its life and served its duty to protect its owners. God Bless America. God Bless you, Tony, and your close family! Everyone has lived to tell! That’s all that matters.

Whew…Tony. After watching you bring this car around, for them, and this happens I am so glad you’re able to embrace them. It’s a shame drivers these days. I certainly hope they verify the failed brake claim. By the looks of the type of vehicle I’m willing to bet speed and disregard played a factor. With no airbags, this vehicle held them and sacrificed for its last hell-a-ride. Was a former 86 TC owner (white/red) and a current 95 owner (silver/green) my hat is always off to you sir. Cheers from St. Louis.

Tony - So sorry to see what happened to your family. Thank God that they all have survived, hopefully not too injured. I will keep them in my prayers for a full recovery. That they all survived is a testament to the very solid construction of the Lincoln. The new cars are so flimsy that they depend on crumple zones and air bags. That drivers door on the Lincoln probably saved your Dad's life with the solid box beam that runs through the center of the door. I only drive a 1987 and 1991 Crown Victoria's and 1989 Mercury Grand Marquis. I feel safe in those cars and I am sure your parents felt the same about their Lincoln. Good luck to them and you as well as you search for another Lincoln for them.

And a 08 CV with the sport package and a one of one on the Marty report I did on it. I’m addicted to the cars and grew up with full-size Fords in my family and they will always be in my heart. Hi Tony, I just spent the last hour pouring through the comments of this very shocking video of your parents scary car accident 😳 and like the rest of your fans, and Yes we are Also your friends, are SO thankful they have both survived without serious injuries, God Is So Good! I was in an accident myself last November in my Lincoln Mark LT Pickup at Dusk when a huge whitetail Buck jumped infront of me and totalled my truck. I live in Saskatchewan Canada and run ins with deer and moose 🫎 unfortunately happens all the time. The damage was the front driver's corner and antlers took out all the grill. I bought it back from insurance as of course they wrote it off and didn't want to pay me the full value. I found an identical donor one for parts and had a good body man rebuild it over the winter. Thankfully I was not hurt and didn't have my wife and kids with me during the ordeal, but it sure has been a long road, I am so sorry you are all having to go through this! You have a wonderful family and I have enjoyed/learned so much from all of your videos up to this point, I am still in shock from what you are going through! Tony. Very sorry to hear of the accident with your parents. I hope they do check that those brakes went out in the other car (I have my doubts, not that it changes anything). So glad your parents are ok as that is all that matters. The Town Car did a great job protecting them. Shame another classic is no more at the hands of a throwaway econobox. Wishing your parents a speedy recovery. 🙏

The other driver should have been tested for alcohol or drug use at the scene. That happens here in Saskatchewan, Canada. And, I highly doubt brake failure. Even that POS rice racer has an E brake. Guaranteed he was distracted on his cell phone. Was the driver that tall guy standing in front of the yellow car? Time to hire an Attorney. And he definitely was speeding to knock the Town Car down the road and on its roof. This warrants a full investigation by the authorities.

@@gabesmath105 look statistics don’t like, the majority of impacts are determined by speed and weight, and the fact is that the heavier car bar circumstance of control or high speed, tends to win out in just the sheer stability factor and secondary impacts. Look at the 2000-2006 deville, also a big car, but not an outdated one, that was one of the safest in its class, this however doesn’t invalidate your point.

Tony, U & your family should ask, for a full investigation on the accident, don’t back down stand your ground. That darn Kid, should be held responsible for the accident. Plus if he has no insurance he should be fined or jail time. In NY State, they R very strict with drivers without insurance. U get huge fine & jail time here. And they take your drivers license away from U for 36 months. Tony don’t let this slide or let the insurance Company, cheat your parents either. Insurance companies always try to pay out the bare minimum, pay out to clients. Tony be firm.

Tony I'm so glad your parents are OK. I think your just slightly younger then I am (58 ) and sadly my mom had Dementia the past 9+ years was in a wheelchair past 7+ yrs stopped talking 5+ years ago and we lost her this January 10 days before her 85th birthday. Seeing your elderly mom sitting there mad me tear up! GOD bless her and dad and Im glad that accident didn't take their life! It's uncanny though as my mom was in a bad accident back in 1999 with her 78 gold DJE MArk V that we just had repainted new top and all the side moldings redone etc. Whats uncanny is the SAME exact model Nissan Sentra blew a light and my mom was making a left turn in front of her (opposing traffic) and the girl blew the light at a high rate of speed. Moms shoulder got messed up and she needed a replacement which she got. She was about 60 then. GOD I wish mom could be well and with me again, I'd total out all my cars if that could bring mom back and in healthy functioning shape! GOD BLESS you and family

@@tonyscarcare5657 I most certainly don't anymore. This car was so clean that you could eat off of any portion of it and not even be able to pick up a single piece of dirt anywhere. I always buffed and waxed it every two weeks. I even took the chrome off the fender wells and would clean behind them. My rear bumper was hanging halfway off as well as a dent down the whole side of it and a smashed in front and the driver's door armrest broken off. Also a greasy tire thrown in the back seat. And my exhaust was loud as hell to.
