I don't blame the mom for not seeing the error of her ways, people often have to hit rock bottom before coming to that conclusion... although you would think that losing the right to even contact your child would be that. HOWEVER, the GAL should quit tomorrow. Any professional that argues a pot smoking parent who had an affair with an inmate, then marries that ex-con with a DV past doesn't have any concerns shows their opinion is not worth any serious consideration. It continuously blows my mind the actions the GALs let the moms get away with while recommending no contact with dad's who have much less serious issues. It shouldn't surprise me anymore, but this is one of the many reasons I am going to get into family law and become a GAL that holds both sides to the same standard.
