My favorite part of every morning! I dont get to do alot because I have stage 3c ovarian cancer, this brings me peace every morning that I can do things. I've actually started baking and cooking again something I couldn't do a month ago. I don't like to sound sappy and say its all thanks to Alicia but its a big part of it along with my beautiful baby boy. 💙 keep doing you Alicia, haters gonna hate. Thats just apart of life.

I absolutely love watching you preparing breakfast, lunch and sometimes dinner all in one go. I like people maximizing time in doing priorities and also finding time to relax and unwind after - just like how you do everyday. Just one thing, it's okay to mix up all ingredients in the pancake bowl but I think it's smarter to break eggs on a separate bowl because it would be a lot of waste if you crack a bad one. Other than that, you're so great. Love your fam!

The butter should be sizzling hot when you pour the batter, that way they rise and are crispy around the edges. Also, if you leave the batter stand for a bit, that helps too. Forgive me for saying this, but those pancakes did not look cooked! Also do the kids check their lunch? Dash got James's dip today.

I’m curious about your reasoning for the portion sizes and why every kid eats the same portion. I would think the bigger kids would get more than the little kids. I’d be curious to know what your response is to that. Also, do the older kids get embarrassed by their names on their lunch boxes?

She was called out for lying about the time. Always saying it was 5am when it was 8.35am one morning. And then suddenly the clock disappeared from videos. Thing is nobody cares what the time is, even 8.35am is cool to be doing all that in the morning. But I think it’s the fact she makes out she’s this super mum always saying it 5 o’clock in the morning when a lot of the time it isn’t. She got caught and didn’t like it. It looks really good, but as a German I'm wondering why you call this "German pancakes". Actually we don’t make pancakes like this in Germany. We don’t use vanilla, but we add some sugar to the dough and than we fry them in pans and won't use an oven. Where do you find this recipe?
@reikigirl25092 жыл бұрын
Dutch pancakes are made this way, and here in the UK we make them also and call them "Yorkshire Puddings" they're usually served with our Sunday roast.
@AB-mx1de2 жыл бұрын
From Wikipedia: A Dutch baby pancake, sometimes called a German pancake, a Bismarck, a Dutch puff, or a Hootenanny, is a large American popover. A Dutch baby is similar to a large Yorkshire pudding. Unlike most pancakes, Dutch babies are baked in the oven, rather than being fried. They are generally thicker than most pancakes and contain no chemical leavening ingredients such as baking powder. They can be sweet or savory and can be served at any meal. The idea of a Dutch baby pancake may have been derived from the German Pfannkuchen, but the current form originated in the US in the early 1900s.

Hi Alicia- I know you have taken some of my constructive advise 🥰I just wanted to say that I feel you're adjusting to an oven that doesn't get hot enough. I can't even tell you how much of a difference you will see if you get a new one. I think it's electric right ? It should have that butter melted in 1 minute and many of the things you bake done much faster especially since it's electric. 👍🏻

The pancakes seem delicious, but they are not German at all. I am German and I know no one who makes them in the oven. They are made in a large pan, each pan is one large thin pancake (not as thin as crepes though). A lot of people add bananas or apples in the pan and serve them with regular sugar and sometimes cinnamon. Kids often eat them with Nutella.

Also, I am so glad that you are using disposable sandwich bags again. Packing those reusable sandwich bags seems like an exercise in frustration. If they don’t get lost by the kids, then you have to wash each one of them out before the next use. Seems to me making three meals a day for 12 to 16 people is quite enough work standing in the kitchen and doing all of that. Add in washing the re-usable bags just adds punishment to the task. One thing you definitely do not need is punishment in any form! Adore you from San Diego.
