First of all, I would like to comment on how pretty and photogenic your mom looks. The tips she gave were very helpful when feeding a family. Especially the way she said to cut the chicken so children can eat them easily. (Wonderful tip) Thank you to your mom for sharing her cooking secrets and recipe. I can't wait to make this my self. My family loves chicken too! I enjoy her cooking video's!! Make more!! Have a beautiful day!!! I look forward to the next one!!

Such an easy recipe to make. And "Madame Teacher" talks much more with you, than with Nat-chan. What a great idea, to cut the wing in half for the ease for children to eat. Genius!!! Domo arigato, Shin-chan to Okaasan.

I ADORE the videos with your mom!!! I know I cherish all the times I got to cook with my mom and they are some of the best memories I have. Even if I can't quite replicate some of her recipes... yet. :-) Your mom is amazing and I am slowly working my way through all her recipes! It would be faster but I don't have easy access to Japanese markets for the fresh ingredients. But please let your mom know she has inspired me to try new Japanese recipes and so far I have loved almost all of them! There are some things that are simply a texture violation and I can't eat it. But I am with you and your family that anything deep-fried, crispy and with lots of ginger and garlic HAS to be good! Much love to your mom and may she have happiness and health for years to come!

I think any starch will work, though maybe taste differently. Amazing recipe. I always want fried chickenbut without all the work. This looks easy and amazing. Love the idea of trimming the wings that way. My husband hates all the bones in the wings but he might eat it this way, since he can eat the pieces like baby drumsticks. Fantastic! Love the way you and your mom interact, Shinichi!
