Thank you very much for the reminder! I had it from time to time when I lived in Japan, but like everything, if you don't use it, you lose it. You two send me running to the kitchen to cook all the time. 思い出さして、どうも有難度うございます!

I used to live in Japan (and Hawaii too) and I miss those small loaves of fresh bread. Every now and then I find a store that has them.

This is my first time here but I’ve subscribed 😊 I’m looking forward to seeing more great recipes. Does anyone have substitution suggestions for daikon? Cannot find it where I live 😢 Also, I have dashi liquid, so how much should I use for the equivalent to the powder? Thanks in advance.

I made these egg salad sandwiches today. I love the two colors white and yellow - trimming the crust off makes all the difference.

I love wasabi for the same reason. That nasal rush! It burns and tingles so good.

There is a very good biological reason why you don't boil the miso soup. Boiling kills the bacteria or microorganisms in the miso paste. You lose the benefits if eating the miso The microorganisms in the miso paste survive live into your gut. They reproduce and produce short chain fatty acids, which repairs leaky gut, improve your immune system even if you don't have leaky gut. They kill some of the bad bacteria in your gut, and the manufacture foods to feed the lactobavillus bacteria further down in your Colon, enabling those microorganisms to produce vitamins and other nutrients to keep you in good health!
