I've been looking at many sweet potato pie videos, waiting for someone to use lemon extract. And you do( yaayh)!! People don't know about how good the lemon extract makes it taste. My mom used it in her pies( she use to make the best). I miss her so much, especially holiday times. This video made me happy and brought back memories. Thank you

It’s 2020 and I tried this recipe today and it came out great...I tried two recipes, and this one was a winner 🏆for my family... it’s something about that orange🍊 zest that gives the pie an extra nice kick of flavor...I love it and it’s a keeper for me... thanks mom and daughter for sharing this recipe!!!🥳

Hi. I baked it last week absolutely great taste. I did have to add little more sugar than I thought. As a matter of fact I used 1 cup sugar. Also, I used less orange zest than what's stated, and it was a burst of orange taste. Just to let you know I enjoyed along with the family. Thank you. Happy Holidays

Hi Stephie, As long as it is a "pure" extract, most brands should be fine. We really like Nielsen Massey extracts.
