First of all. That high chair concept is not at good for babies.... babies should on the floor in his comfortable position. And should eat food. That is good for their health according to Ayurved also. And according to some famous nutritionist as well. .... so high chair concept is the worst thing for them.

If your baby shows signs that he is ready, then you should consult your doctor first before starting meals. We started with Carrot, Banana, Mashed rice, Pear etc., each food for 3 days (1-2 meals a day), to check for any allergies !!

I was wondering same with my son he is 5 months 10 days. He was born 3.8kgs n now is 8.7kgs. He stares at us while eating food n v feel very bad to eat in front of him while he keeps looking at our hands, mouth... food picked up frm plate til it goes in our mouth. He had good head control.
