When will I use this formula P(before)=P(after), and will I use this formula M2/M1 = -V1/V2?
@yoprofmatt9 жыл бұрын
+Jumana S Hi Jumana, the first equation is general: P(before) = P(after) is called conservation of momentum. You can use that when no external forces are affecting the motion, like a car collision. The second formula is specific to this problem: M2/M1 =-V1/V2. This only works because it was stated in the problem that both cars came to a complete stop. Cheers, Dr. A
