Totally! It was the phrase “have your cake and eat it too” that helped track Ted Kazinsky. Most people say “eat your cake and have it too” but that’s incorrect - T.K. said it the proper way. Linguistic forensics becomes more relevant the more time we spend communicating online. They caught T.K. by analyzing his manifesto and letters to his brother, I think.

This case was definitely something. I really felt for Ashley, Bailey did a great job conveying how she felt. I can only imagine the pure innocence of thinking your mom is just being cool mom, she understands college and life feels rough for me, so she’s inviting me to let loose and just hang out have some girls time my mom is so much better than yours :). Then you wake up in the hospital to your world being flipped upside down, for years the thing’s unknown suddenly dawn on you and you realize your mom wasn’t an ally nor the warm hearted individual you originally thought. The fact that she states she doesn’t know, she loves her but she also hates her at the same time. This poor girl probably would have taken an apology and loved her mom the same in due time whether deserved it or not and that’s sad. Literally just wow.

Just want to point out that a parent being "best friends" with their child is a form of parentification, or putting a child in the role of an adult. It can be incredibly traumatizing to be put in the role of a peer to someone who is supposed to be protecting and taking care of you :(

Me and my mom always joke about Stacey when this episode of Forensic Files comes on, because she was too dumb to know it's not called it "anti-free."
@worlds2ndbestlawyer Жыл бұрын
well, I guess it ended up right, cause in the end that "anti-free" made her "anti-free"! (no idea if this joke makes sense, im very sleep deprived)

I have a cousin named Stacy who is super smart and pretty, she said ppl have assumed her to be mean since school and she just smiles and takes all the misplaced defenses. Once anyone knows her in earnest, they'll see her help others and be a sensible mother, ive never seen or heard of her being catty or cunty.
