This is so spectacular. Thank you for explaining things so clearly. I wish you would have explained what type of wire rope you used and size to pull down the branches and how did you anchor it right into the tree with a screwdriver? And how do you repair the hole after you don't need the nail anymore?

Idk which I love more, Your bonsai or your beautiful pup; he’ s gotten so big! I like what you said 'less is more'. My Being a minimalist & naturalist, I was a little uncomfortable that you wired so much...even though, the outcome is amazing. I like that you more for your show. Glad you are back.

We both have a love for German Shepherds and bonsai. I took my eyes off my youngest GSD for few minutes and she destroyed one of my formal upright ficus bonsai because she thought it was a stick. It took me a while to forgive her...about five minutes of sad puppy eyes. She apologized though. Good thing it wasn't one of my older ones.

Massive flush of Spring growth for Cameron's beard. Seems to be adjusting and not too stressed from apprenticeship. Is it too late in the season to apply a little POCD or is it too risky to shock him with the stress of work and high temps of Summer in Nashville?

Lol - Merch, "yours will come with less sweat" (but not necessarily none) haha. Love these videos and it's given me some confidence to chop back some of my own houseplant trees. I've got a soursop, miracle berry, chocolate tree, and some citrus-no where near as cool as your bonsais (still young seed-raised plants)-but I have been terrified to cut them in case I screwed them up. So, thank you! Looking forward to your next video...will probably have to get myself some of your bonsai tools...hopefully you ship to Canada?

Normally yes if it requires heavy work, but detail wiring can be done as soon as new growth hardens in summer.

Quick question Bjorn...watering...our water in Northern Virginia is rather alkaline (8.5 pH)...I see you water with what I assume is tap water, don't you concern yourself with using lower pH (6-6.5) water for watering your trees? Wonderful series, BTW.
@EiseienBonsai4 жыл бұрын
Our water here is about 7.2 so I don't worry about reducing the pH. In your case though I would either collect rain water or find a way to drop the pH in your two water.
@JCBerner4 жыл бұрын
Amazing styling Bjorn - I was thinking... could the two lower branches on the left go? I'm thinking that it could create more negative space and balance to the tree? just my two cents
@EiseienBonsai4 жыл бұрын
Hi Jens! It will probably be removed in a few years as the rear branch develops more to take its place.
