Academy is the place to buy 9mm. They seem to always have 50 rd boxes of Blazer brass, both 115 and 124, on sale for $11.99...like right now. When Blazer isnt on sale, I'll pick up boxes of Monarch. No issues with Monarch.

I use Monarch 762x39 for my plinking pews and its a ton of fun. Never had any real issues with the 9MM either. Its affordable and great for practice.

I shot 250 rounds of 9mm steel case last weekend. It all went bang but I did feel about 7 or 8 that was underpowered. Excellent for plinking.

I have heard from some people at the academy here that monarch pistol ammo tends have some issues in handguns. Might have just been earleir lots but one guy i talked with said he believed the primers might be a little hard so they would light strike

Monarch makes good ammo! I tried it years ago, and don't remember any problems! Its probaby better than Winchester white box!

They're probably on par with one another, but I'll get whatever's cheaper for plinking

It's repackaged Magtech for boxes made in Brazil and repackaged ZSR for boxes made in Turkey.

I don't know about Monarch 9mm. But I like Monarch 22lr.

If you know their 22LR runs good, then the 9mm should be a no brainer!

I got a sub 1000 serial number. One of the first 😎 it's so nice to shoot. Stable and accurate

Wait... does your academy have a shooting range? Because ours do not! And most of the goobers working at them are no range masters, but a bunch of young folks who know very little about guns. I would take their recommendations with a grain of salt, and a pound of caution! Remeber, they are just sales clerks, who were working in the Shoe Department 2 days ago!
