Are salafi and wahabbi the same? Why do they call other muslims "shirk, biddah, mushrik, taghoot, ikhwan, khwarij, etc" what do these things even mean?

Yes they are the same. Shirk is just associating a partner to God, and yeah they abuse the term shirk, at times incorrectly also. Biddah (innovation) is a *religious* innovation (addition) that is like doing something that wasn’t prescribed. An example would be like instead of the 5 daily prayers you do 6, that is not permissible to do since it would be an “innovation” aka biddah. The other terms: Mushrik- a non Muslim- idol worshipper etc, Taghoot- is like “the powers of evil”, basically worship other than to God in a sense. Ikhwan- one meaning is the Islamic brotherhood political movement and the ones salafi use is the second one which means a Muslim who wants to unite with innovators (this is their definition, and it’s idiotic)- Khawarij- this is a term used to label the first terrorist group in a sense, they would be the “fathers” of ISIS as mufti puts it, and they were around the time of Ali RA and his rule.

Here is a verse that prohibit homosexuality - فَانكِحُوهُنَّ بِإِذْنِ أهْلِهِنَّ وَآتُوهُنَّ أُجُورَهُنَّ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ مُحْصَنَاتٍ غَيْرَ مُسَافِحَاتٍ وَلا مُتَّخِذَاتِ أَخْدَانٍ ) النساء 25 - the word أَخْدَانٍ means the "same sex" - in classic tafseer it means "partner" like girlfriends boyfriend - but its taken from the word "خْدَ" which means "cheek" -

So Islam is Eastern then? We shouldn't be in the West? It doesn't belong here? Is there just one Islam? What about the Islam that taught it was forbidden to ban slavery for centuries? Surely the core is based on the Qur'an and constant but Islam moulds to different contexts. The central maxim of all four madhabs: "Custom shall have the weight of Law" - i.e. in each place and time, the local customs will influence the finer manifestations of the Law - Islam will be slightly different in each culture.
