In the north Georgia mountains, we had a terrible storm between 5:30-6:00 am. Oh my goodness the wind, rain, and hail! I noticed the tree outside your window flowing with the wind. We are expecting a day of storms. I pray that you are having lots of fun with your projects. ❤️

We had that here around noonish. The second storm was mostly rain and then another around 10pm, again just a regular thunderstorm. Glad you’re okay. It has been a crazy 24 hours!⛈️

Have you thought about doing a raffle for the quilt instead of an auction? Fat Quarter Shop did some raffles for their make a wish quilts last year and made more money that they did auctioning. It also gives people a chance that can’t afford to bid in an auction. Just an idea.

Several people have mentioned that, and it’s true it could bring more money. What I don’t like about raffles is the fact that many contribute their money, but only one wins. With an auction, there is still only one winner, but no one but the buyer is out money. It’s the gambling aspect of a raffle that bothers me. Thanks for mentioning it though! I appreciate everyone’s input ❤️

Can you just take a row off down the side and off the bottom to make the Blues quilt a queen you can do on your long arm? If you have to pay to have it longarmed it will cut into the amount you donate. You said you plan to do several and you may still have more blocks rolling in. Maybe to round out the second one you can add in some dog prints-that might get people to bid higher for a dog charity, IDK. Just a thought. :)

I'm looking forward to seeing Blue's Batik quilt. Texas has been hit bad with storms lately too. So much destruction and loss of lives. Very sad. I have a question. Did you complete the Happy Days? I don't remember seeing the finished quilt. I try to watch all your videos.

Why not make 2 quilts instead of one huge one? Maybe more people would want a smaller quilt. The market for a king quilt might be more limited, and you could make more money for the Humane Society with two. My opinion....
