This car is notorious for the clamp being loose at the high pressure fuel pump. Fuel typically leaks at cold start up only. Easy fix.

Tell your tech the fuel smell is from the low pressure fuel line that clamps on to the high pressure fuel pump. Very common there is an Li for it

I think there’s an extended warranty on most of those leaking fuel hoses!
