Merci

This is just gorgeous! I saw it on fb and I Iove it. Thanks for sharing! I live in Virginia. I can see both the Appalachians and Blue Ridge from my windows. I love the mountains too. I am always reminded of the scripture. ....."He touches the mountains and they smoke." 104:32 God bless you, Susan.

Very grounded in the tradition of Monet. 👍 I love the rich color tones that leads my eyes throughout the painting located left of purple. My most favorite work of Monet, is the woman with a parasol. Although she should be in more of a darker silhouette, he brings out outlines of the sun coming from over her right shoulder, seems to trick you into buying all the richness from her, then lands you down into the grass with strong contrast. As always, great job. Jesus for president... 🤟

Pool noodles never worked well for me. I thought it would but no. I love your TL pastels and I have to say, I love THIS painting SOOO very much! I can't wait to give this a try. Thank you for your patreon and Monet Cafe channel. Your sweet encouragement helped bring me back to pastel painting. You and Karen Margulis are wonderful, each different, but terrific teachers.

I hit the like button for that great hack to get the drawing proportions! I’ve used a proportion calculator and it’s 🤯. But this hack is brilliant! How did I not know this? I mean it seems common sense, especially if one uses photoshop programs! My brain just didn’t make the leap. Thank you!!

Ha ha.... yes, I just love simple little hacks like that which can save us so much time! I LOVE sharing these things. So glad you picked up on that and I hope it will be useful :)

Don't know if it's been answered before but would I be able to clear gesso a regular stretched canvas to use it as a pastel surface, I have some bigger panels and would love to chllenge myself on some bigger paintings.
@monetcafe2 жыл бұрын
I've applied clear gesso to canvas with some fair results. The challenge is the texture of the canvas so a few coats of gesso might be helpful. I have a video tutorial where I did this.... kzbin.info/www/bejne/qpnFiZRpnsdqiqc
