In 2015 the community of Bodo won a $77 million lawsuit against Shell for two oil spills that devastated their environment and livelihoods. The money from this landmark victory has now been spent, but is Bodo any better off? (Video produced by Ed Kiernan and Chris Kay)

no they dont because 55 million only translates to around 20 million pounds and the pollution that wont go away till over 30 years later has killed all their food sources and will cause all types of cancer, so in fact it wasnt enough and if you were in that situation im sure you would want much more, so please, stfu you uneducated idiot

The area made money from Shell for decades, made more money from the court victory and then proceeded to waste it and now have the audacity to complain? When they had money their first response wasn't to improve their own environment, it was to build excessively large houses. That attitude is so pervasive in Africa.
