Last October I turned 40. I celebrated by doing a 40 day juice fast to be delivered from generational curses. Since then, God has been directing me to certain you tube teachers I definitely could not stand before my 40 day fast. In the last 3 days I've come across both your channels at the same time. You're both discussing issues I definitely did not even want to delve into in the near future , marriage and finances. Having been through generational curses, marriage and finances have been major failures in my life. Your channels are helping me face some truths about my own weaknesses I didn't want to face. I believe this is the next stage of my healing/re-aligning process. This is my longwinded way of saying thank you both in advance. Your channels are definitely LIT!

Financial instability is a big red flag for me. I have ended communication with many men over that. I take marriage seriously, and I understand the fact that a man being a head of household I am beholden to his financial decisions. And I refuse to be led by a man who doesn't understand how to handle money. I made that mistake with the father of my children. Long story short, and trying to abide by his headship, we ended up homeless. I also miscarried one of our twins. In the stress of the situation, he became very abusive. At one point during my pregnancy I tried to take my own life. I had to leave the relationship with police escort. My family bought me a one-way ticket and sent me across the country to safety with my 2-year-old toddler and my two week old newborn. He ended up at a Christian shelter for battered women and children. I underwent a year and a half of therapy and counselling, which the shelter helped to coordinate. I signed up for the live richer academy in 2018. My children and I have budget meetings once a week, once a month, once a quarter, and once a year. My parents and I never had conversations about finances. So I am making sure that things are different with my children. If a man does not understand the concept of a budget, he has no business trying to court me!
@melissas_heart2 жыл бұрын
“I have a budget of $50- $100 for the first date.” That means that his focus will be on making the experience of getting to know me even more important than vetting the possibilities of what this date might result in. Men might think it strange that having a budget is actually sexy. For more mature women, a man who can handle his finances, can lead and teach me how to be a good steward over them, and then turn around and we both teach others…is priceless!! It means that together, we will safeguard our legacy and future. Another great episode!! 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

I know I am repeating myself, however I really appreciate your podcast, because I feel that God is confirming (almost every time I listen and watch the episodes) the choices I am making, and the stances I have (on many issues). A lot of gems were dropped, and I agree with Anthony on many of the things you both discussed. This conversation was great food for thought. I'm really glad you are focusing on the singles, during this season. I also love that you are able to bring on your podcast a variety of single folks. We are getting great pieces of advice, for free. I get soo annoyed when people ask me if I'm not married yet, what I'm waiting for or imply that my 'biological clock' is ticking 😒. Here I am trying to do all these wonderful things like cultivate a more intimate relationship with Jesus, heal, grow, maximize my potential..... Things that I know will create good soil from which a marriage, a household and a generation that honours God can spring forth. Instead of supporting my process I find that I'm being pushed to skip that crucial step and potentially create another broken marriage, household and or generation. "When are we really gonna start pushing people to maximize their single season....???!!!!" 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾

That’s why he lead me to create a plan for myself. I can no longer be mediocre about my own fitness, not with the plan God has for me! This episode encouraged me to start writing a vision for my while life! That statement about comfort zones being a kill zone for your dreams, goals, and visions really resonated with me. God has been pulling me out of my comfort zone. I just realized I’ve been resistant and reluctant to leave it. No more! I’m ready! Comfort Zone- where dreams go to die!! Ooh Wee!! 🔥

I have been watching AO for awhile now and it makes me so happy to see him on Dear Future Wifey. He has helped so many with becoming financially fit that it makes sense to have him continue the conversation about romance and finance. He is absolutely right when it comes to spending alot of money on dates. I rather meet up for a smoothie than dinner. Why waste your money and my time if the phone connection doesn't transfer to face to face meeting? And I personally don't want a wedding more than $5-7k including a nice honeymoon. We can deposit the rest of that money into a home, investments, our family legacy and giving it to charity/community. You definitely don't want wedding expense remorse. Plus... A man that can say he really doesn't have time to be in a relationship is a man who values the time of others and that's DOPE!!! 💪🏽

Yes, without a vision you can never align with your purpose. So many truths in this video. Yes, agree first dates should not break the bank, the purpose should be to establish is their connection & chemistry which can be found out rather quickly. Agree, weddings should not break the bank either as my focus is on the life after the wedding and those mini honeymoons to keep the spark going. As a community we forget about leaving a legacy because we just want to have that"look of luxury" yet the real wealth lives in ownership & becoming independent. The purpose partner is exactly that one who can align with your vision and enhance your purpose as you both do with each other. Money is a tool and when you used wisely can positively impact for generations. Beautiful letter to the future wife..Will have to look into those 8 pillars. Great video.

I share the same sentiment with Anthony, I want a small wedding. Not all my friends and family will be present, I want those who's voice I trust in my life, the ones I know 100% that they love, who've been there through out my life. Because I will request each to bless or pray fro us, and in the album next to their picture, will print what they've spoken and everytime we open that album, we'll remember. But with that being said I will not deny my partner their dream wedding. In fact, he's the one that will plan the wedding & I'll show up on the day. I'll help in the cake & food choice, the dress and his ring will be a surprise. I love these finance episodes!! Please bring more. I've been dumped in the past or someone lost interest, because I didn't have money, and I've let go of men who had all the money and material things, cause money is not what I was looking for. Life is a strange and beautiful mystery.

This was excellent. The single season is super important, don't let anyone push you to marry let along date just to be occupied, instead better yourself with your steps being ordered by God. This is why I couldn't accept things from men who didn't have my heart. True dating is demonstrated way past dating, every day in marriage as a team we strive to help one another. The time for yourself is to gain powerful tools that help you discover yourself and then you can discover together with whom you select and receive.

Thank you for interviewing this King. This is a wonderful model of hope for women and men to see. Although there won’t be a lot of people at their wedding, I pray that their marriage be richly blessed and that their family legacy changes lives for the Kingdom and for their good.

As usual, great episode Laterras! I appreciate you both for dropping those gems and finances play a major part in my deal breakers whenever my husband does find me. Again, great episode 😊

As always another powerful episode. I definitely understand about getting myself together financially and not squandering money now that I could be using on my marriage later.
