My opinion though nevertheless great things you are doing.

I know what you mean sister Flo about price of cement; we started building in October and found out our Architect hadn't ordered cement in bulk and was planning to buy piecemeal and did for almost the foundation stage ..oh no no...the price was already over 3000 per bag. He tried to charge me the difference...I wouldn't have it! Still may come up later...lol. Long story short, I made contacts and bought 900 bags in bulk since I plan nonstop work until after roofing..building a duplex. Two weeks ago, realized we were almost out and had to do thesame again. To me, it's the best way to get more reasonable price, if you are able to afford that bulk. I like bulk buying in everything...meals etc

No wonder the book of proverbs says the price of a virtuous woman is worth more than rubies. I sincerely believe madam Flo qualifies as one. Men who have highly intelligent , resilient, resourceful, focused and goal oriented wives as this woman do not often know how much blessing from God that is. Give the same money to some women, they will steal half of it and lavish it in frivolities. A good wife is the best blessing any man can receive from God because it comes as a total package. In my case i was not so lucky and i have spoken from a bitter experience. Well done my dear sister, you have done noble. Jidekiji!!!

The tiler is not good at all because you can see that he doesn't know that tiles have head and tail. You can see easily where head is on head. There's always a dot to show the head and tail. You may be looking at your walls and seeing that something is wrong with out knowing what is that. Only good architects can see it immediately they enter the site. You're doing a good job.

Edging for tiles is necessary, but the one for floors is different to the one for walls. I hope they used the correct one. They should not leave it long to do the grouting of the tiles, especially in the heat... it’s unfortunate that you should have the headache though... the foremen should be the one to do things correctly, and rectify things.

I think it's a matter of preference because for me, that horizontal bathroom now appears shorter, like my head will hit the ceiling even though we intentionally added extra clearance to the heights of the rooms in this house. I unconsciously duck whenever I walk into that bathroom. LOL It's so bad it makes me feel dizzy to be honest. Maybe if the tiles were plain, it wouldn't be that bad.

Well done but you are living at a very crucial time. Any mistake they make will be so visible when the house is finished. These guys are just like tailors; if you are not there to ensure they deliver what you want and to your standards, they will abandon your work for another work or they will do it anyhow and call it design and then run their un-brushed mouth. Getting someone from a distance place to come do the work has worked well because they will be focused on finishing the work and leave but locals will collect the work plus other works leaving you to be chasing them to come to work. If they delay delivery by 1 day, delay their balance by a month. I did it to my tailor Kayode. He delayed my cloth for two weeks, and I delayed his balance for two months and I will intentionally drive pass his office and wave bye to him while he chases my car! He learnt his lesson.

These guys are not from the area o. Their oga came all the way from Port Harcourt and his workers came from Warri. Yet look at them travelling up and down. Their oga took a whole 4 days off to attend a wedding! Who knows, he may have gone to do another job becsuse who takes 4 days to attend a wedding when he is not the groom? I agreed thinking he had two more main workers on site. Only for me to learn during this video that his second travelled too. An unserious person is an unserious person no matter where you get them from. Anyway, there's always that work team sent to test you and push you to say/do things you don't want to say/do.
