It's really awesome. So I live in Texas and it's a huge state... I have driven to Paris France in 6 hours and already driven to Denmark lol I can't get out of Texas in that long so it's a huge deal. It's so green and old over here. But be thankful for what we have in the states these countries are still atleast 8 years behind us

Hey Jacob, my name is Andrew and I just want to let you now your videos are inspiring. A bit about me, I graduated Hobart welding school and ended up enlisting in the guard soon after. Three years later, present day, I'm working at a fire station and finishing up paramedic school. On my off time I've recently started burning rod and again and your videos have helped reignite my passion for welding. 4 guys I graduated high school with a few years ago are helpers for the 798 I've been trying to get on since high school but no luck hopefully this spring they'll sell a few books at the jobs there at here in WV so I can get in

As far as I know, you need to know someone who knows someone that knows someone about the pipeline that can get you out there on a test.

Also it helps just building connections, that's all it really is man, without that its extremely hard to get in... and right now I don't think they are looking for anyone

The shade tree welder when you get scheduled take it but usually they will ask you to call back but if they accually schedule you a test take it.

I'm an consulting engineer for refineries and this is great advice. The biggest gap I see even in engineering is people not following up. Dont do it every day like you stated but frequent. I hear all the time... I sent an email and got no reply. My first question is did you call them? Keep up the great work Jake.
