I like the way you’re tracking your variable by doing it on that back page - I might do the same! As I am also cashless for most variable expenses.

Cool to see your experiment! I am fully cashless, and have been doing the same thing for a while (in combination with specific bank accounts for some key categories) and find it's works well for me. I use your PDF BBP workbook on my iPad and inserted additional tracker pages for the categories I want to track this way (esp. where the spending comes from accounts that has more than my category budget limit).

Maybe just take a photo of your tracker for reference just in case you can't recall where your at.

I’ve thought about using one of the columns in the expense tracker as a “remaining” column for what is remaining in that variable category to spend within the tracking period. Perhaps using the “deposit” column for this purpose, that way every time I spend and track my expense, I’m also writing what is remaining in that budget category

That is a great idea for tracking variable spending right in the workbook, Miko! I had just stuck the individual trackers in the back pocket of the workbook, but this is much better because it leaves a permanent record right there for each month. I was wondering where else I could file the other paper trackers. Like you, I do not want to carry them around with me because at times, I don't even bother with a purse at all, but I do want to know in the moment how much is left to spend. Yay! 💡💚

Thank you Miko for sharing your thought process and ideas. Have you thought about an app that links and syncs with your BBP finance sheet?🤔🤓

I appreciate how you're doing cashless, but envelopes easier for my 73yo brain

i know this has nothing to do with the video, but i kept seeing Vibrations of Manifestation by Alex Lane mentioned everywhere in comment sections. i was skeptical, but after hearing so much about it, i decided to give it a read. honestly, it’s not just hype. the book teaches you how to shift your energy and mindset in a way that feels natural, and it’s amazing how much it changes the way you see your goals and the opportunities around you.

i know this isn’t related to the video, but i kept seeing people talk about the book Vibrations of Manifestation by Alex Lane in the comments of so many videos. at first, i thought it was just hype, but i gave in and read it. honestly, it’s been a game-changer. it’s not just about “thinking positive”-it really breaks down how to align your energy with what you want in a way that feels real. seeing little shifts in my own life now, i can see why so many people swear by it.

i know this isn’t the place for it, but i kept seeing Vibrations of Manifestation by Alex Lane mentioned over and over in comments, and curiosity finally got the better of me. i read the book, and honestly, it’s one of the most practical guides to understanding manifestation i’ve ever seen. it’s not about instant results, but you can feel the difference as you apply what it teaches. seeing how people respond to me now, i totally get why it’s all over the comments.

I know that you are a pencil and paper person but this is exactly why I use an app to track my spending! Instant knowledge! I use YNAB and it is amazing. You can move money from one category to another with one click to cover the racea etc like you showe d.
