I have a money tree that wasn't doing so hot growing. I put it outside last summer just to see what would happen. Well, all the leaves fell off, that's what happened. I was so sad cuz I thought I had officially killed it, but then I noticed new leaves growing. By the end of the summer, it had DOUBLED in size. The beast is now thriving and I have mild concerns about what will happen this summer LoL.

A ex-coworker left a baby money tree when she was fired. By the time I came acroos the plant it was a hard rock of dirt! I decided to water and nurture this not knowing what it was. I sat it on my desk, by the back of my computer due to limited space on my desk. To my surprise, a peak of green came from the dirt! I was so excited! Now it my height and its two individual branches. Wish I would have bought another to braid them as mine is leaning. It's struggling a bit as I need to regualte the watering schedule and repotting.

I just fined out that mine has flowers. I didn’t know that this plants flowered.. mine has like 12-13 years with me . I planted them in ground . The flowers are so beautiful. I even text my sister and my daughter to show them the pictures of the flowers.
@debbiefox68468 ай бұрын
I Don't think I have seen the bloom on them before. Congrats ! Will Google to see what they look like.. The majority of plants get blooms and seeds. This is literally how many plants reproduce. Plant groups that don't bloom are liverworts, mosses, hornworts, whisk ferns, club mosses, horsetails, ferns, conifers, cycads, ginkgo, and gnetophytes. These reproduce by spores. So if you look on the bottom of a fern and see little brown dots those are the spores and this is how that plant reproduces. Some plants reproduce by root divisions as well. Even many of those plants will bloom as well, for example Bromeliads. They grow a gorgeous inflorescence but also produce a pup as the bloom starts dying as an added insurance. Plants are amazing. ☺️🫶🌸

Good morning! Loveeeeee Your IG and channel! After my Mom passed, I saved my Mom's money tree by chopping it off. It came back and it's huge. I am going to take all this into consideration as well. It would be great to have a list of your go to supplies! Also, how often do you recommend watering this?

#drownthathoe lmao! I really needed this because I’m sure that’s how my first large money tree died! Overwatering and not enough indirect sunlight. Thank you for this! ❤❤

I just bought a money tree today. I have a black thumb and have killed pretty much every plant I've bought. I'm hoping I'm able to keep this one alive. Are there any things I should know about it's care? It was an impulse buy so I dont have any pots or soil to repot with but I'll be looking into that in the coming weeks. It's smaller than the one pictured here, so probably just a baby?

I was gifted a little one of these at Christmas. It’s doing great and I’m about to repot it from a 4.5” pot to a 6” one. It’s almost doubled in height and business since I got it so it must be doing well! I’ve already cut the root tie thing inside, but I’m not sure when/how to prune these guys, or how to keep braiding the trunk parts as it grows. 🤷♀️ is it normal for the new growth on these to be kinda sappy?
@IAMJC398 ай бұрын
What I want to know once you have had excess growth how do you know what to cut and to continue braiding up.

I just repotted mine from a pot larger than the one you just changed yours Into, and it's root ball was huge. This is the 2nd repotting, but my tree is lanky and tall without a ton of leaves? It has leaves, but not as many i see i when people have bushy plants. I don't understand why all of these people online have trees with very few roots, and mine has a ton and was actually root bound in a relatively large pot. I moved it to a 6 gallon pot that came with a large bush i planted in my yard.

I've had 2 money trees for about 5 years and they've quadrupled in size. They have braided stems, but as they've gotten taller I haven't continued the braiding, but the stems are still green. Can I train it to braid and if so do I need to remove the lower leaves? I'm worried about snapping the stems or removing too many leaves. Any advice welcome please!!
