I started out at ground. Helped me get on my feet and gain doubles experience. Moved on to LTL for benefits.

I was a driver for a contractor. It’s really not a bad gig and I was up to 360 a day. I left for food service actually delivering to Wawa through Penske.

I found my contractor on indeed. I live in the Savannah,Ga area. I drive from Savannah to Charlotte to savannah (519 miles total). Or I drive Savannah to Orlando,Fl to Savannah (578 miles total).

@Jvoe_stew Do you have multiple stops or is that just one full load round-trip?
@Jvoe_stew4 ай бұрын
@@grovedwayne390 I start my shift with a load (53 ft) from Savannah to Charlotte. Then from Charlotte they usually have me a load or tell me to get an empty (53 ft) back to Savannah. And my day is done. 8 to 9 hr full trip. But every contractor is different.

The only hardship of getting on Ground is dealing with 1st Advantage. I drove for them for 3 years. Left to do foodgrade tanker and later oil fields. Now that the crude production dropped I'm going back to linehaul but local this time around. Will be doing 325 miles each way 5 days a week.

River Capital and SRC is the contractor I drive for in the Portland Oregon area, the terminal is in Troutdale Oregon. I do teams. We go to Mississippi and back ery week. And we are always offered extra local runs if we want them. I got the job through indeed. Easy money. I make Trucking and weather content on youtube. I just make videos when there's interesting. Just making fun of the experience.
