Hey Ace, the Mushrooms you were seeing are Ringless Honey Mushrooms, they're edible, but you have to cook them for a little longer, due to their toughness.

These mushrooms 🍄 are called honey mushrooms. I eat them often. They are clearly growing directly from wood and that is a really good sign. They have black hairs on top predominantly towards the center aswell as a ring on on stem. Double check for a white spore print and cook for 15 mins minimum.

Those mushrooms are honey mushrooms, which are perfectly edible! Here's a tip to finding good mushrooms: Any mushrooms with a frilly "neck" and a cup at the bottom of the mushroom stems are often toxic. Those that have overly bright colours are to be avoided too(fly agaric being the most obvious of the bunch), as well as those with a sweet smell, and leave a staining residue on your hand when touched!

hey ace, i know you are used to the normal trouts which are hard and evoluted to fishing but small mountain trouts like these are very finnicky, so if they bleed they die for sure, so if you catch one and you aren‘t sure if the size is right, just keep him

the mushrooms like look chanterelles/ trumpet chanterelles. which are very common and very much edible. but really really smart decision to never eat a mushroom unless you are 100% certain you know it is not poisonous!

Lots of respect for you. I've been watching for a little under 4 years. In my opinion, next time cook the craw dads just for maybe 3 minutes, then finish right in the pan with the stir fry and stream for just a couple minutes to get that flavor to thicken and stick to everything.

Ace here's some suggestions . When cooking fish you should cook it first about 3/4 the way then you should add the veggies and cook them all the way through. Also since you already had butter you should try butter poaching the crawfish which is just removing the meat and simmering it in butter it tastes a lot better in my opinion.

I live in Kentucky and I have 2 creeks near me that have 6-7 in craws. I've caught them before. U should come to Kentucky and go to 4 mile creek and Otter creek. They are all over the place. Also, both of the creeks are great smallmouth spots. Edit: Also massive craws in the red river gorge. If u ever come to Kentucky check those spots out!!
