Mongolian Beef is a stir-fried beef cut in thin slices, which are covered with seasoned cornstarch. The aromatic fragrance of ginger, garlic, and chilies combined with the mixture of caramelized sauce will coat the beef to produce a distinctive tingly sensation when eaten. INGREDIENTS
**SAUCE**
3 tbsp hoisin sauce
1 tbsp sweet soy glaze
2 tbsp brown sugar
1 tbsp dark soy sauce
1 tsp white vinegar
3 tbsp water
**FRY BEEF**
1 ½ lbs flank steak, sliced 5 mm thin against grain
2 ¼ tsp salt
1 ¼ tsp black pepper, ground
½ cup cornstarch
1 cup vegetable oil
**ASSEMBLE**
2 tbsp vegetable oil
2 tsp ginger, minced
4 cloves garlic, chopped
6 red chilies, dried
7 green onions, cut into 2-inch strips
Steamed white rice
