Women crucified in scandals really? We live in a country where a woman can accuse a man of looking at her wrong in the office -- that man will be fired within the hour! He'll be banned from working at many location, abandoned by friends and family. When it's found out that nothing happened, the man is left to build from ground zero while the woman, who made a false claim, doesn't even get a slap on her wrist. Don't go there -- being wrongly crucified is an affliction on both SEXES and not just women. Here's something for you to do: Call the Police on a male friend that he beat you - see what happens. Now wait a month and let a male friend call the cops on YOU and see what happens......go for it

It was a frank, honest, brave, open minded, inspiring narrative of her cloudy past. I have high regards for her. She is not to be blamed for what had happened. She was young, charming, intelligent n happened naturally. But the opposite person was mature, in position, married, having a family etc. He should have withdrawn from such temptations. We are what we are because of circumstances whether it be cultural, colour of our skin, geographical, environmental, language, attitude, behaviour etc etc. Your opponents, people who " J " about you are waiting for any untoward thing to happen n expose the matter, make it an issue n have fun, fame n monetary benefits. It is highly appreciated that she did not succumb to such horrible pressures n has come out of it steadfastly. She has done a great job by exposing the dangers of digital technology n how people n authorities should take corrective steps to stop it but punish the perpetrators and prevent such things from happening in future. Hats off to her that after 17 years she openly staged her story to the world. I also appreciate her well wishers, neighbours, friends and colleagues who came to her rescue/help n make her feel comfortable in such a traumatic period. It takes guts n time to come out of this till you once again come back to normalcy. It was a faithful talk n your videos are very admirable .. 👏👏👏👏👌👌👌👍🌹☺️

I'm also a Firm believer that while cancel culture is supposed to hold people accountable we shouldn't entirely focus on destroying the careers tearing them down off of there livelihood that they may have worked hard for but rather we need to also learn how to build up what we need to build up I don't know what the opposite of cancel is but we need a culture focus on that as well to counter it

i dont think cancel culture is the appropriate term for her situation. she wasn't famous b4 the incident. the incident made her famous. those are very different things. it's unfortunate that she felt ostracized but it's hard when you're introduced to someone via TV to forget that first impression. if i were a hiring manager, not sure i could not keep thinking, oh that's... doesn't mean she cancelled or judged.

@@whimsical_me5135 agreed! And accountability can also include some form of, I don't know how else to put it, but punishment too because if its too lightheartedly gone about, like maybe making them take a class or something, people wouldn't care again. You can tell that she has done and continues to do the work to heal from this unimaginable unjust trauma. She has saved many lives that would have been lost by suicide. It is a learning process for us all. I myself have jumped on social media posts when someone has posted something abhorrent but now I don't. If I am not adding anything new or helpful it's best just not to post that comment, after all Facebook and many social media sites are just manipulatively us trying to make you feel angry and stay on their platform longer.
