Luke Thompson the speakers come with a replacement fuse in them! It’s right underneath the power plug slot.

Luke Thompson can be opened with the tip of a small screwdriver, just have to swap the replacement one with the blown one.

You can normally purchase them at your local supermarket just be aware of the amps on the fuse :)

Dude thats unreal. i just got M Audio Bx8 A2 speakers... and im so stupid.. i had one connected to the voltage and i didnt knew what that red thingy was and turned it.. then the voltage switched and it made "puff" and smelled burned. I thought i had destroyed the new speaker... ive always wanted those and after all those years i get them and destroy them before listening to them. I was in the middle of completely pulling everything out of the speaker to repair it and then in the right moment youre video shows off. Dude thats so amazing and hilarious. Be honest.. how often do manufacturer do something good, usefull and cheap for their customers?? This basically never happens... this is like opening a birthday present lol.- And as cherry on the cake, the spare fuse.... my god thats insane. Thank u!!

MATE THANK YOU! In the manual I thought they meant change the fuse in the plug, didn't even know there was a fuse below the IEC input AND that there was a spare fuse. I stupidly changed the voltage to 120v from 220v while the power was on. When the little green light came on after I changed the fuse I think a little bit of wee came out :)

Guys, if fuse is blown, it might be that something in circuit is also going wrong or its near getting broken, so changing fuse can sometimes do even more damage. Every time fuse is blown, there should be perform AMP inspection just to be safe. At least, do visible inspection for some burned part or bulged capacitor. That is my suggestion. Cheers.

Hi. I have some KEF X300A active speakers that have been for a while now turning on but not working. When I turn them on, there is a flashing blue light to indicate LAN connection but after a while the light changes to a solid red light. The manual just tells me solid red means - switch off. So I never thought to try replacing fuse in same place with the iec power plug. And I just realised this today. Would my speaker still power on with a led lit to indicate a status if the fuse was blown ?
