0:49 as a Commander player I have to say that enchantments are the best card type since only two colors can deal with them consistantly. You're right about the auras tho (even tho there are definatly ways to make them work pretty well)

Deck was solid but I think Shepherd in place of Spawn would be better since if Aphemia or the Eidolons are killed, they will still cause their triggered abilities to happen as the 1/1 Shepherd brings back.

why not both? Spawn is hopefully a 3 drop with spectacle so not really competing for curve spots.

Good to see someone beating that fucking Robber of the Rich. Once that card stole my Edgewall Innkeeper, and the opponent had 2 Bonner Crush Giants and 2 Rim Rock Knight in their hand. It was so much fun seeing them draw all those cards out of MY Innkeeper.

wouldn't aspect of lamprey be better instead of agonizing remorse? maybe? it's another aura, it gives you a plenty of life if you put it on spawn and it makes opponent discard 2 cards (though he chooses the cards and you don't get to peak into their hand).

at 4 mana it's way worse in a "gotta go fast" deck, and ruins the curve. It's a pretty bad card outside limited. By turn 4 against mono red you're either dead or need a blocker, against control you have no creatures to play it on. And when it does go off, usually opponent is already out of cards or has plenty to discard whatever they want. It's way way way more valuable to hit their hand before they can setup and take whatever card they're holding that wins them the game.

That simic deck looks like an adaptation of Mono Black's deck from a few days ago. The goal is to get the tentacles to come in as 4/x creatures so they trigger Kiora and keep making more.

Why are you afraid to drill bit into a counter spell? That means your drill bit still did it’s job by getting a card out of the opponent’s hand; a counter spell at that. Even if it’s not what you want to take, it does it’s job. If they did t have a counter then it becomes even better.

Interesting options for MonoB aggro... currently testing Shadow Spear on Rotting Regisaur, works well in an aggro shell, yet I feel regi is only really playable in BO3. Still not sure about the top end, Rankle is just like a swiss army knife and needs little support.

It's more the attitude while criticizing the random opponent in a pick up game of MTG in front of viewers. He will talk about mono-red being so prominent and this player decided he wanted an answer specifically for that match up.

Much like how he'll intentionally mispronounce words or be the "heel" persona. Cues to pick up on, he's only serious when talking about his plays are says "real talk, ___". Or I could be wrong, and he's just rambling b/c it's hard to talk non-stop to entertain us for an hour a day.

Also not a fan of the mentality of "you maindeck that?!" In BO1. If a certain card is viewed as useful in a meta or fills a hole in a deck then of course it can be main decked since there is no sideboard. This is said about disenchant a lot.

@ 25:59 the deck you are facing, you can tell they didn't build their deck. they saw it online and copied it. people who do that do not know how the deck actually functions. which is why they played that very badly. they didn't know how the synergy works and they couldn't be bothered to actually READ the cards you had on the field. smh.
