Last game showed again what happens when people cram a lot of removal, card advantage and counters in a deck and think Epiphany is the finisher. Yeah it kept the guy alive for a few more turns but in the end he just did not have something to take advantage of during these extra turns.

I know that CGB doesn't check much the comments, but I'll say here that I reached Mythic for 1st time ever playing CGB Azure Control list with an excellent 11-1 for the last sprint from Diamond 2. The last version (no teferi, no consider, 3 Devastating Mastery) is a meta breaker, has a fair chance against anything and dominates some matches. If you reach turn 4 or 5 and start Deluging you already won most of the time. Games are really long tho, people hangs in there thinking you are gonna deck out until you start chaining cover ups. You can imagine the light leaving their eyes and I love it. Thanks for the list bro, crafted it as soon the video was out and I'm very happy with it.

OCD isn't a quirk, it's a diagnosis that has very real quality of life ramifications. Not saying you don't have it, but it's definitely not the same as being slightly neurotic about things. Not fussing CGB, just saying. Obsessive Compulsions and thoughts made my life hell until I found the right treatment. I have a somewhat similar deck that i've been using since standard 2022 became a thing. I have found one card from Midnight Hunt that has proven to be an awesome addition to my deck - Graveyard Trespasser - it has won many games for me just from its ability to exile things from Graveyards plus with Ward - Discard a card it becomes hard to deal with in the mid to late game. Its been so useful that it has actually edged Professor Onyx out of the deck (limited space as you know)

Thank you for this deck! I'm playing with a modified version because I don't have all the lolths or meat hook massacres, but its so enjoyable to watch opponents struggle to get back into the game after having been wiped with Blood in the Snow one or two times :)

I have a version of monoblack control which revolves around zombie tokens, both through Jadar and Rotten Reunion - which is an awesome little card: getting a Lolth out of the opponent's graveyard when they use a Blood on the Snow is really rewarding. And Lolth just grows by herself when you're making zombies that die alone all the time. So the Opportunist is a better card for this case than the Merchant. I'm using the Sedgemoor witch, but I guess I'll take her out in favor of more wipes.

Finally, the Hostile Hostel! Very excited! On looking at the list without watching the gameplay first though, I feel like there is a lack of planeswalker removal at instant speed. Only Blood on the Snow for that. I would personally switch Infernal Grasp for Baleful Mastery, but that's my preference.

That's what I've been finding as well, really tricky to get to self defending planeswalkers, especially Lolth who recovers well after boardwipes. In playing this deck a bit I'm finding that I have to either blood on the snow for planeswalkers and bring mine back, or do some sort of janky boardwipe + haven attack combo which takes a ton of mana. Was thinking that 2x of each of baleful mastery and infernal grasp would give more flexibility in those situations.

I've been running a similar list for a bit now. Hit Diamond last night with it. While I don't agree with some of the choices here, I do like most of the list. Recently, I've been testing with Dramatic Finale as a 2 of and it's been fairly good. It might be good in your version too. I’m torn lately with Innistrad lately. Mono red was my power house seems like I been striking out lately with these control decks ect. But they are so much fun to play. What is it the winning all the time or enjoyment of magic lol. Just played like 3 times in the meta tourney and struck out with control, izzet turn, hook, skeletons. Climbed from low Plat to Mythic in two days with this deck. It RUINS mono-white. I would suggest switching Inscription of Ruin for Plumb the Forbidden -- in the early game its another Deadly Dispute, but late game it just wins with Onyx. Either way -- very solid deck.

What is the best way to beat Izzet Turns deck? Cant seem to win with any deck :(

You have to have a strong early game and a good answer to Goldspan Dragon. Sometimes the deck just doesn't draw removal and you can establish a strong boardstate in the early turns while they dig for their key cards. This is pretty much the only way to beat it. I play it a lot on my alt account and it does in fact lose....but usually only when the shuffler is at it's finest and doesn't want to cough up the 3rd land.

Swapped out two infernals for tibault so I could address chariot but I ran a similar deck all week to great effect.
