What a brutal start from the robots-control deck with that twister after LoA and double mulligan- ouch! Perhaps mono-b could had blocked with both knights and the witches- then tap to damage the trisk after witches has done it’s blocking damage. At least that would trade for one trisk that could not use its counters for shooting. Good games! Keep ‘me coming :)

Gandalf, I totally agree, that start was just insane! I mean, he takes a double mulligan starts with 5 and the black player has a turn one Dreams and is on the play. For some reason, two turns later, the dreams is gone, he has 7 cards in hand and an active library 🤯

Nice match, that Robots Deck really is strong. Yet again this shows Mono-Black's lack of removal, Terror won't work and there is no artifact removal either (except the Disk, which isn't black and will clear the entire board on both sides). Looking forward to seeing more matches of the Frost Giant Cup, very enjoyable to watch these partly unusual Decks. Edit: Alright, there are some Enchant Artifact cards in black like Warp Artifact or Curse Artifact. I haven't seen the latter in play though.

In my mono-black, i have 2 paralyze and 2 relic barrier in my sideboard against robots. I also run 3 bad moon and 4 unholy strength in the main board.

@@TheRemyWagner That's a solid build, it's under EC rules, right? Using Fallen Empires and the FBB Feu Follet. I'm a mainly Black player myself and I'm always concerned about artifact removal since a lot of decks out there are heavy on artifacts (Su-Chi, Black Vise, Winter Orb and the lot). Granted, you might kill artifact creatures using Paralyze/Relic Barrier and Royal Assassin, but still there's no solution for regular artifacts (and enchantments). Green has Crumble and Tranquility, White has it all (Disenchant, Swords, Divine Offering...), Red has Shatter and Blue will counter anything anyway. Well, I guess that's to balance Black's fast mana.

@@TimmytheSorcerer very true. If you're gonna mulligan, multiple moxen + timetwister is pretty much the ideal hand.

Should have triple blocked game one, then pinged the trike with Witches.

That would’ve probably been the way to go. The fact that you can block and ping for 1dmg makes the witches even better than it used to be. You get so much for just 2 mana.
