when you mentioned the"great entrance yema grandmasters engoma ye jerusarema, it reminded me why musicians especially with Murewa roots such as JP have seemingly adopted that culture ye grand entrance

Maybe the video was done already, but can you also do a breakdown of other genres from Zimbabwe? We have seen the jiti, mbira/chimurenga as well as sungura , but vana mhande and mbende, jerusarema, jerusarema as well as popular progression. melodic intervals, rhthyms-basically the elements that define the genre.

Haaa Clive, l think we have to do more justice to this guy, the connection between Vocals and this Jit tune is really unfair to be just a jam, if it's possible record a complete song with this guy like the Case baba mula pavakaimba stumboo, were baba harara let invited the guy for a proper song. I promise you it will be a heat song.

I was there last week kufuneral, they play jit zvemhando but its the same as if a Jamaican comes here onzwa dancehall, will he say Zimbabwe is known for dancehall music, it the same as finding jiti music in a mbende music area like Murehwa. Jiti inonakidza kuimba especially kuma youths coz of the lyrics they use which are funny plus kunyadzisira

Jiti is called "Tsawa" in Mutoko. Unlike in Murehwa where they use more than one drum, in Mutoko only one drum called "mutumba" is used but producing a variation that sounds like more than drum. It's played for fun and the lyrics are full of jokes some of which are sexually suggestive or mocking one another. For example at a funeral, the song, "Ndimi makauraya" meaning, "You're the ones who killed" is common in Mutoko and Murehwa.
